Galerie du Lac de Brienz

Welcome to Brienz, the home of the woodcarving!

You will find our shop on the romantic road between Luzern and Interlaken which offers you a unique chance for shopping for captivating Swiss watches, jewellery and gift articles.

A magunificant view point to take some pictures and Casagrande Wine & Cheese Degustation is also situated in the same building.
The Galerie du Lac is opposite the firm Jobin, who run a living museum with woodcarvings and music boxes. Seven bus parking places are located directly in front of these two shops.

About Brienz

The village Brienz has two railway stations. One for the train coming and going in each direction, and another one with the world famous our Brienz Rothorn Steam Rack Railway down from the village up to the mountain (7700 ft) with a fantastic and unforgettable view to the Alps. Not just on account of the rack railway, which is the only one of it's kind in Switzerland to be operated by steam locomotive, but also owing to the exceptional beauty of the scenery it traverses. The ascent lasts one hour and starts in Brienz (15 km away from Interlaken).
