Jusuf Kalla arrives in US



Washington DC  (ANTARA News) - Indonesian Vice President Jusuf Kalla arrived at Seatle on Tuesday as part of his five-day visit to the United States.

The vice president made a stopover in Seatle from where he went straight to Mennesota to spend the night.

On Wednesday morning, Kalla is scheduled to proceed his journey to Washington DC at the invitation of the US Congress to speak of Indonesia`s success in solving various conflicts in the country.

The vice president is visiting the United States on the second leg of his three-nation tour which early took him to Japan to receive an honorary doctorate for peace from Soka University for his contribution in solving conflicts and creating peace in Indonesia.

While in the US, Kalla is also slated to hold talks with Vice President ADS Joe Biden.

Kalla will leave the US for Belgium on Saturday.  (*)
