KUALA LUMPUR: An exhibition featuring the works of two famous Hong Kong calligraphers is being held at Wisma Kebudayaan Soka Gakkai Malaysia (SGM) in Jalan Bukit Bintang until Sunday.
The exhibition is entitled "Lam Yut Hang and Chen Tin Hok Calligraphy and Ink Painting Exhibition".
It features oracle bone inscriptions and official scripts.
"It is a wonderful sight to witness Lam at work as he has a natural talent.
"His handwriting has often been described as the 'dancing phoenix'," said SGM president Koe Teng Hong at the launch of the exhibition yesterday by Deputy Higher Education Minister Datuk Dr Hou Kok Chung.
While Lam is an expert in various types of Chinese calligraphy, Cheng lectures on ink painting at the Hong Kong University.
The exhibition is being held to raise funds for the Children's Paradise Education Foundation based in Hong Kong.
It is open daily from 11am to 6pm. Admission is free.
