Liberals call for tougher immigration rulesFriday 23 January 2009 The Netherlands should refuse to give immigrants unemployment benefits unless they have lived here for 10 years and set a new age limit of 24 for migrants, opposition Liberal (VVD) leader Mark Rutte is quoted as saying in Friday's Telegraaf. Rutte made the statement during a visit to Denmark to compare immigration policies, the paper said. 'Working is a much better way to integration than big integration projects,' Rutte was quoted as saying. 'They discovered that in Denmark a while ago.' Denmark's tough immigration rules have been criticised by the European courts on several occasions because they are sometimes at odds with the free movement of people, the paper says. © DutchNews.nl Get the DutchNews.nl newsletter in your mailbox: Click here to subscribe

Rutte, you are not going to get Geert Wilders votes, you are not as good as he is in politics, so stop trying to copy him. Beside that, you disgraced VVD by ousting Rita Verdonk, that was a big no no! You should never have done that to Rita Verdonk, you made many women very angry, especially me! Rita, only Rita Verdonk could make you win votes, so it is your loss that you turned on her!
