Germans felt how tough the Russian women are in the WWII. If they had our strenght I bet women would be better soldiers than men, since they are way more patient and much more calm then us.

Actually there are many women in west armies...maybe not that young

But one thing you'll never see in west - teaching how to operate AK47 in public high school! NVP rocks!

NVP (Basic Military Preparedness for our non-Russian friends) sure kicked ass. That's where I learned how to field-strip an AKM, throw grenades and dig up a fox hole. Hell we had a nice shooting range where we burned through a lot of free ammo. Great fun when you're 11-15 year old kids.

But these girls are doing much more of course, it's not for everyone by any means.

Loved the NVP - left for US right when the real classes began but got a taste of it at least, still have an old textbook somewhere In '91 our school changed the name of the class to something else though - sounded little more liberal, but I don't know if it was only our school.

Well I guess it's fun when you are that young. I wonder though, how succesful is this cadet's program in reality. If fast forwarding fifteen years, are they then really highly educated highly succesful psychologists and doctors?

NVP was renamed into "Osnovy Bezopasnosti Zhizhnedeyatel'nosti" - loosely translates as "Basics of Safety". Now that the politically correct liberasm is falling out of fashion they renamed it back to NVP.
