Tokimeki Checkin
You are a young Japanese guy named Takayuki Yamano. You reluctantly become the manager of the Yamano Inn, a former propriety of your parents, who decided to open another business and leave the inn to you. You don't like your job much in the beginning, but your opinion changes once you notice some very attractive ladies visit the inn. Now it's up to you to become the perfect seducer and to capture the attention of ten gorgeous manga-style women. "Tokimeki" features typical hentai adventure gameplay - you take decisions in the game by choosing from several available options that appear every time you have a conversation with a girl. Tokimeki Checkin! falls into the Japanese genre of video games sometimes referred to as “eroge.” In the West such games are often referred to as “hentai” games, or “H-games.” In this title, the player takes on the role of Takayuki Yamano, the reluctant manager of the Yamano Inn, a popular destination for attractive young girls. The basic idea is to choose one of 10 girls visiting the Inn, and then try to woo them and get them into bed. The gameplay consists of clicking on text-based choices at specific decision points in the story. Piecing together the right choice to make each girl respond positively is presented as a conversational “puzzle.” Why is it AO rated? Successful wooing of the girls is rewarded with graphic, pornographic scenes of Yamano having sex with each girl. Of note is the fact that rape is presented as a choice at one point, and there are scenes where Yamano watches non-consensual sex, too.
