02 Dec 2008 (CA-News-Tashkent) Upon the advice of the Uzbekistan Muslims Administration, Uzbekistan's President, Islam Karimov, signed a decree which declares that the upcoming Kurban-hait (aka. Governing Law: Official public holidays in Uzbekistan are regulated by Article 77 of the Code of Labor Laws of the Republic of Uzbekistan which was amended on December 8, 1992, by article 7 of the decree Proclaiming The Date Of Adoption Of The New Constitution Of The Republic Of Uzbekistan, A National Holiday (the decree implementing the new constitution). • Muslim Holidays: There are multiple spellings for the 2 Muslim Eids that are official public holidays in Uzbekistan. Muslim Holidays : Muslim bank holidays, legal holidays and public holidays for Uzbekistan were evaluated using the Umm al-Qura Calendar of Saudi Arabia which is used in Saudi Arabia and in most of the Persian Gulf States. Holidays may occur a day later in countries outside the Gulf region.
