Governing Law: Montserrat's Labor Code recognizes 11 statutory holidays, but leaves the door open for additional, one-off public holidays to be declared.
St. Patrick’s Day is celebrated as a public holiday in Montserrat, in commemoration of the unsuccessful slave uprising on that day in 1768.
