30 Apr 2007 (Sociolingo) Mali declared a national public holiday, late last night, for Monday, April 30, 2007 • 24 Apr 2007 (L'Essor) Tomorrow, Wednesday, April 25, 2007, has been declared a national public holiday in Mali so that people can go and collect their voting cards for the upcoming April 29 presidential election. • 01 Dec 2006 Next presidential elections: first round - April 29, 2007, second round - May 13, 2007. Governing Law: Official public holidays in Mali were previously jointly regulated by the Labour Code and by the Loi n° 92-020 du 23 septembre 1992 portant Code du travail en République du Mali (Journal officiel, 1992-11-30, Spécial no 8, pp. 2-32). Muslim Holidays : Muslim bank holidays, legal holidays and public holidays for Mali were evaluated using the Umm al-Qura Calendar of Saudi Arabia which is used in Saudi Arabia and in most of the Persian Gulf States. Holidays may occur a day later in countries outside the Gulf region. The sunrises, sunsets, moon phases, moonrises and moonsets used in these calculations are based on the location of Mecca (latitude 21.42°N, longitude, 39.82°E, GMT+3 hours, no summer time rules).
