02 Aug 2008 (KHJ Radio News) American Samoa Governor, Togiola Tulafono, has declared Monday, August 4, 2008, a government public holiday to celebrate and thank everyone in the Territory for making a huge success of the recent 10th Festival of the Pacific Arts.
• 31 Mar 2008 (Radio New Zealand International) American Samoa Senator, Dr Paul Stevenson, has sponsored legislation making election day in American Samoa a public holiday. If the bill, introduced last Friday, is passed, then it would bring the total number of government holidays to 12.
