The school in the days of foundation
September, 18, 1948
Shobu High School started as a branch of Saitama prefectual Fudoka High
School.
Its school system was a part-time schooling system then. It is different
from the present full time schooling system, and they studied there for
4 years.
It didn't have its own school building and borrowed the extra 3 classrooms
from Shobu Elementary School.
November, 18, 1952
The new school buildings were completed and are situated in the school
yard.
The students were very pleased with the completion.
But there was no facilities at the new school. There were only students,
classrooms and a rough sports field with weeds. It inspired them to continue
the development of the school and to realize their dreams.
Days of development and enrichment <1955 - 1964>
1955 Students, teachers and the neighborhood demanded to change the branch of
school into independent high school founded by Saitama prefecture.
April, 1962 It was isolated from Fudoka High School and was founded and supported
by Shobu town and other some towns. It has been a part time high school
yet.
April, 1964 It was transfered to the full time high school.
Volunteers for rice planting
In spring, 1965 Greenary at the school yard was enriched.
Many trees were planted : poplar, plane tree, fragrant olive, azalea, and
so on.
But facilities were still not sufficient. One day all of the students and
teachers planted rice in the ricefield to earn money to get musical instruments.
The students were very keen to help and it was the happiest time for teachers.
