FuminoriSakisaka has a traffic accident which kills his parents and leaves himheavily injured. When he has a brain surgery to save his life, hisperception of the world changes: everything he sees becomes blood andguts, people's looks and voices seem like monsters, and food thatnormally appeals to him tastes disgusting.
As he contemplatessuicide in the hospital, Fuminori meets a beautiful girl among theflesh-covered walls. She introduces herself as Saya, and is apparentlylooking for her father. Fuminori does not want to be separated fromSaya, and asks her to live with him. She agrees.
However, whileto Fuminori, Saya appears as a normal girl when everything else in hispoint of view is flesh and guts, normal people see it differently just as he sees normal things as flesh and blood, Fuminori sees actualflesh and blood as normal. 3.Saya and Fuminori kill Koji together. Afterwards, it turns out thatSaya has reached the last stage and ultimate goal of her life:reproduction. The spore-like matter she releases is a mutating agentaimed at humans, created by researching the human genome obtainedduring sex with Fuminori. The "spore" is spread across the globe byupdrafts, slowly turning the entire human population into Saya-likecreatures.
