of female genital hair

Most people believe the once ubiquitous “Beckham hairstyles” disappeared from Japan’s streets with the end of last year’s soccer World Cup, but Shukan Jitsuwa (2/6) claims the bleached Mohican cut is alive and thriving in the place many women would like to see the English soccer star — between their legs.
Growing numbers of Japanese women, especially female office workers, are apparently shaping their pubic hair to match the tresses the top midfielder sported while he led his team in the soccer extravaganza Japan co-hosted last year with South Korea.
“All women put a lot of care into their hair, but they don’t do so much with the hair down below. About the most they’d do is brush it back from behind the bikini line,” Yuri, a 22-year-old electronics company employee, tells Shukan Jitsuwa. “(Pubic hairstyling) can make the difference for a girl when she’s competing with another girl whose looks are about the same as hers.”
Minako, a co-worker, concurs.
“Some women’s magazines have carried articles about styling your pubic hair and they referred to the Beckham look. But we’d been doing it for a while before those stories came out,” she says. “By the way, I like (crew cut Japanese midfielder Shinji) Ono, but I don’t think I want to copy his hairstyle down there.”
While Beckham pubic hairstyles are popular among generally conservative office workers, they’re well and truly established in the netherworld, where displaying their map of Tasmania is part and parcel of the sex worker’s profession.
“I also appear in adult videos and what I like about them is all the girls who are in them have hair down there that’s cute and curly,” Ayuchi, a Tokyo massage parlor worker, tells the men’s weekly.
Shukan Jitsuwa notes that though there are differences in degrees according to age and occupation that have influenced the extent to which women have adopted Beckham pubic hairstyles, there are three basic types of cut influenced by the soccer star’s tresses.
“Soft Beckhams” are those where the hair is allowed to grow freely but it curls back to form a natural peak.
“Popular Beckhams” involves brushing the hair into a Mohican style and then using nail clippers to trim the protrusion.
“Hardcore Beckhams” are those preferred by ejaculation industry workers and girls of the type who mimic pop diva Ayumi Hamasaki and bleach the hair on their heads blonde and wear colored contact lenses. These women dye the locks that form the ridge of the pubic hair so that it differs in color from the surrounding mane.
Some seeking the Beckham look between their legs can go too far, however. Girls refer to this as the “Kazuyuki Toda” style, named after the Japanese national team defender who dyed his locks a flaming red before styling them in a copy of Beckham’s.
“Styling your pubic hair is a lot harder than most people think,” sex worker Ayuchi tells Shukan Jitsuwa. “Actually, I’ve got a bit of a Toda look myself, at the moment. My boyfriend told me that I should dye my pubic hair bright red, but there’s no way I’m going to do that. I want my hair to hurry up and grow back so I can return to the Beckham look.”
