Kamejiro IchikawaⅡ(1975-) is one of the most popular Kabuki young stars. His family background is impeccable. His father is Danshiro Ichikawa Ⅳ, the impressive and characteristic actor. Ennosuke IchikawaⅢ, his uncle is also the maverick actor and very famous for his Super Kabuki spectaculars.
Kamejiro himself first appeared on stage at the age of 4 and took his current name at the age of 8 . He spent his apprenticeship in his uncle Ennosuke's troupe,
then, has recently struck out on his own, impressing in both male and female roles from the traditional repertoire.
In areas other than Kabuki, he has broadened his horizons, including “visual- media” and has been currently starring in NHK's saga drama “Furin Kazan” (Wind and Wood, Fire and Mountain).
There are great expectations for his future involvement in a variety of genre incuding films.
Here in America thanksgiving is a big deal. In the early days of America Thanksgiving was a bigger holiday than Christmas. Sometimes the Thanksgiving celebrations would last over a week. Now it just kicks off the holiday season. But it is still a family holiday and has not yet been totally taken over by greedy corporations. Thanksgiving is the best holiday to just enjoy family and friends.
