しかし、コート・デュ・ローヌ・ルージュは実にエレガントな味わいで、この暑い時期にも飲めるんじゃないかな？と思いますよ。

ド・ラ･ジャナスの2006年シャトーヌッフと2007年コート・デュ・ローヌのご紹介です。知っている人は絶対知ってますよね・・・、特にあの漫画を読まれている方は・・(^^;;
noisy はと言えば、良いヴィンテージだけ、摘み食いしているような感じですが、こってり好きのアメリカ系ワイン評論家さんたちの評判もなかなかに芳しく、しかも、クリームをベタベタ乗せた極甘ケーキにチョコレートやココアをふんだんにトッピングしたようなワインまでには成っていない、つまり、ローヌのトップグループに居ながらも、日本人好みの味わいであることに、喜びを感じます。
若干でも余裕のある方は上級のシャトーヌッフを・・、良く判らないけどリーズナブルで美味しいワインを飲みたいと思われる方はコート･デュ･ローヌをお選び下さい。決して期待を裏切らないものと判断しています。
●2007年 コート・デュ・ローヌ・ルージュ
2006年のこのワインが、かなりエレガントでエキスの効いた味わいに、ちょっと嬉しい誤算を感じた訳ですが、2007年ものの説明の前に、2006年もののレヴューをお読みください。

【スパイシー過ぎないエレガンス！美しい国・・いやローヌワインです！】
セパージュはグルナッシュ
50％、シラー 20％、ムールヴェードル 10％、古木のカリニャン15％、サンソー
5％ というものです。グルナッシュはパワフルさやボディをつくる部分に良く現われてきますが、最近のローヌの造りでは、
「ちょっとやり過ぎでは？」
と思うくらいに甘くパワフルに仕上げる感じが、
「悪くは無いけどなんか、合わないよな・・」
と、チョイスするには至らない結果になっていました。自然派のピュアなエキスに慣れてしまうと、上記のような「こってり系」を排除してしまう傾向があるかもしれません。
とはいえ、この2006年のコート・デュ・ローヌに限っては、そんな心配は無用でした。何か一つの品種が出しゃばって来ることも無くシームレスで、しっとりと香る、全く違和感無くしつこくないスパイスや紫の果実と、ドライ過ぎず甘すぎない、美しいバランスを、高いレベルで造り上げています。ボリューム感も我々にはぴったりだと思いますよ。
まあ、2005年のシャトーヌッフ、ローヌ南部になりますが、トップドメーヌは欧米系評論家さんたちによれば軒並み99点近くまでを叩き出しています。その中で、noisy
も気にしている、アンリ・ボノーさんも珍しく、トップ･キュヴェのセレスタンやマリー・ブリュリエを早めにリリースするようですが、タンザーさんによればセレスタンが93〜96点、マリー・ブリュリエが91〜94点と今ひとつ冴えない評価でした。このコラムで書くことでは無いかもしれませんが、アメリカ系の方には、少し「こってりさ」が足りないと感じられているのかもしれません。とても官能的で複雑な造りの方だけに残念ではあります。
しかし、このコート・デュ・ローヌ2006年に、評論家さんたちが何点付けるか想像できませんが、noisy
的には、限りなく90点近くまで与えてよいと感じています。とても美しいローヌです。お薦めします。ガンガン飲みましょう！

2007年のコート・デュ・ローヌ・ルージュも2006年同様、美しいスタイルとエキスを感じることが出来る、とても好ましい味わいです。違う部分は、2006年ものよりも、より充実しているタンニンが有ると言う事でしょう。
この質の良いタンニンは、口内の油を拭ってくれますので、夏の暑い時期のバーベキューとか、焼肉パーティーなどにはぴったりでしょう。甘く無く、しっかりとドライながら、エキスの旨味がちゃんと有ります。当然ながら若干若いですので、ワイン単体の美味しさは現時点では2006年に有りますが（こちらも在庫が有りますのでご検討くださいね）、マリアージュを考えると、ブルゴーニュ的なエレガントさを持つ2006年よりも、ややタンニンが厚い2007年の構成の方がより季節的にマッチするかもしれません。
もっとも、あっさりした味わいのお料理には2006年もマッチしますので、8〜9月位になって、
「・・・肉？？？・・・いや、素麺か冷麺がいいなぁ・・・」
などという疲れた体の持ち主の方には、そちらも良いと思いますよ。
いずれにしましても、良い出来だと思います。是非ご検討ください。

このところ、ド・ラ・ジャナスのシャトーヌッフは数年続けて傑出〜偉大なワインという評価を得ていますので、もうすでに皆さんも安心して購入できる状況だと思います。それに、この傑出〜偉大格のワインとすると、プライスに割安感があるのが嬉しいですよね。
特にショーパンの方は、価格も安いが評価もヴィエイユ・ヴィーニュに負けず劣らずなので人気が高く、noisy
も昨年の半分の量に減らされてしまいました。
そんな訳で、ヴィエイユ・ヴィーニュの方も気合が入らず・・・、アドヴォケイトに丸投げで許していただこうと思います。
2006 Domaine de la Janasse Chateauneuf du Pape Cuvee Vieilles Vignes
The 2006 Chateauneuf du Pape Vieilles Vignes (88% Grenache, 7% Mourvedre,
and 5% Syrah, with only 5,000 bottles produced) is one of the vintage’s
most profound wines. Inky ruby/purple to the rim, with a nose of incense,
melted licorice, asphalt, blackberry, and blueberry with a hint of pain
grille, the wine is exceptionally powerful, rich, concentrated, and harmonious,
with high but sweet tannins, low acidity, and a spectacular finish of close
to 50+ seconds. It is much more approachable than the 2005, but give it
4-5 years of bottle age and drink it over the following 25 years. The 2006
will undeniably be a vintage to buy across the board at Domaine de la Janasse.

2006 Domaine de la Janasse Chateauneuf du Pape Cuvee Chaupin
The 2006 Chateauneuf du Pape Chaupin (18,000 bottle produced) is brilliant. Made
from 100% Grenache from sandy and clay soils, the wine shows a stunning purity
of licorice-infused black raspberry and black cherry notes, good, firm tannins,
and stunning richness in an opulent, hedonistic style. The wine is a classic
example of old vine Grenache and of Provence. This full-bodied, powerful wine,
which has no hard edges, should drink beautifully for at least 15 or more years.
Tasting at Janasse is fun. It is a large estate of 195 acres with 45 of
them situated in Chateauneuf du Pape. Even if you weren’t obsessed with their
fabulous Chateauneuf du Papes, they have a portfolio of brilliant wines from
Cotes du Rhone as well as a vin de pays. Young proprietor Christophe Sabon,
working with his wife and father, continues to fine-tune his winemaking skills.
He is already brilliant at reds and shows increasing confidence in the quality
of his white wine cuvees.

要は100％グルナッシュで造られた外交的なキュヴェ・ショーパンはすでに美味しく飲めるし、15年以上は持つ。ムールヴェードルとシラーをグルナッシュにセパージュしたヴィエイユ・ヴィーニュはこの2006年ヴィンテージで最も素晴らしいもののひとつと言え、より複雑性を持ち25年に渡って飲めるだろう・・・ということです。
もし2006年生まれのお子さんがいらっしゃり、バースデイイヤーのワインをリーズナブルにお探しなら、ヴィエイユ・ヴィーニュはとても良い選択だと思われます。これほどのクラシックな評価をされながら、万札+アルファで購入できるワインは、他にはまず有りません。
また、比較的近い将来にのんでみたいぞ！と思われるのでしたらショーパンが良いと思います。きっと期待を裏切らないでしょう。ご検討ください。

【2005年はローヌも凄かった！】
軒並みプレスティージュ・クラスのシャトーヌッフは、アメリカの評論家さんたちを驚喜させたようで、トップクラスの造り手であれば、95点オーバーの最高の出来栄えと評価されています。それに、このジャナスのレギュラークラスのヌッフでさえ・・・、ご覧のような有様！ブルゴーニュの高騰とは裏腹に、ジャナスに限っては、そこまでのプライスアップは有りませんでした。嬉しいことです。
早いと知りつつも、ベースラインである、ノーマルのシャトーヌッフを飲んでみると・・・、タンザーさんもＰＫさんも91〜94点付けただけのことはありますね。しっかりとした濃度には凝縮感が有り、黒と紫の果実、スパイス、紅茶、ウーロン茶、シガーなどが複雑に絡み合い、中庸〜ややファットなボディ、濃い目に入れた紅茶に僅かなシュガーを溶かしたような長い余韻が有りました。で・・・今でも結構美味しく飲めちゃうんですよね。お薦めできる美味しいヌッフです。
キュヴェ・ショーパンは1912年に植えられたグルナッシュによるもので、ＰＫさんもタンザーさんも95点オーバー、おそらく素晴らしい味わいでしょう。数はとても少ないです。
ヴィエイユ・ヴィーニュはショーパンよりもさらに古い・・・100年クラスの古木のリューディのグルナッシュで仕上げます。飲んでいませんが、おそらく30年位は持つんじゃないかな？と想像しています。
ちなみにロジェ・サボンさんは、2005年は信じられないほどの量の酸味と良質のタンニンを得ることができ、その結果、多くの果実の風味を作り出すことに成功したと言っています。記念すべきヴィンテージと言えるでしょう。
どのキュヴェを選ぶかは難しいところでは有りますが、95点オーバーのワインが一万円・・・って、もうなかなか有りませんので（そうでもない？）、ハイポイントのワインは、どこが良いのかを検証する良い機会ではあります。飲んでみてくださいね。

Possibly the wine of the vintage, the 2005 Chateauneuf du Pape Vieilles
Vignes, which is up around 16% natural alcohol, actually as remarkable
levels of acidity and a low pH for Chateauneuf du Pape. Dense, full-bodied,
with an inky/purple color, extremely backward, but with layer upon layer
of fruit and richness, this wine has enormous concentration, texture, and
body as well as amazing precision and freshness. This is certainly a Chateauneuf
du Pape meant for long-term aging and probably best put away for 5-8 years
and drunk over the following 20-25 years. This possibly could be a legendary
wine in the making. Over the last decade Domaine de la Janasse has become
one of the half dozen or so finest estates in Chateauneuf du Pape. However,
they also produce an impressive range of Cotes du Rhones. This was also
one of the few dozen or so estates that had exceptional success in 2003,
a challenging vintage but, for those who did it right, some monumental
wines. Proprietor Christophe Sabon compares 2004 with 1999, but with slightly
more fruit and power.

Inky purple. Intense blackberry and raspberry
preserve aromas show great depth and ripeness -no surprise, as Sabon told me
that components of this are over 17.4% alcohol. Lush, creamy and almost
liqueur-like in sweetness, but with good acid lift to the ripe boysenberry and
blackberry flavors. Tannins sneak in on the back but are overwhelmed by the
sheer weight of fruit. Stains the palate with dark fruit flavors. This was one
of the highlights of my trip.

2005 Domaine de la Janasse Chateauneuf du Pape Cuvee Chaupin
The 2005 Chateauneuf du Pape Chaupin is one of the candidates for Chateauneuf
du Pape of the vintage. Tasting like the essence of kirsch liqueur intermixed
with licorice, flowers, and sandy Mediterranean breeze elements, the wine
has phenomenal intensity, huge body, and richness, but crisp acids and
moderately high tannins. Most vintages of Chaupin today have been among
the sexiest of the Janasse Chateauneuf du Papes, but this one will require
patience from its purchasers. I would envision the 2005 Chaupin needing
4-5 years of cellaring and keeping for 20-25 years. Over the last decade
Domaine de la Janasse has become one of the half dozen or so finest estates
in Chateauneuf du Pape. However, they also produce an impressive range
of Cotes du Rhones. This was also one of the few dozen or so estates that
had exceptional success in 2003, a challenging vintage but, for those who
did it right, some monumental wines.

Deep ruby. Intense blueberry, boysenberry and candied
licorice on the nose, with heady accents of incense. Lush and velvety in the
mouth, with liqueur-like dark berry and cherry flavors, molten tannins and a
rich, chewy texture. This displays remarkable depth and sweetness all the way
through the extremely long finish. A real head-spinner, literally: Sabon told me
that this was bottled at 16.5% alcohol but that many lots were well above 17%.

pepper. In the mouth it’s tannic and clearly a vin de garde with refreshing
acidity, real vibrancy, but surprising power and length. As Christophe
Sabon said, “It’s a wine that comes across as feminine because of the
high acids and low pH, but then the finished alcohol is close to fifteen
percent!” Give this wine 3-5 years of cellaring and drink it over the
following fifteen as it will be extremely long-lived. Over the last decade

Dark purple. Powerful, brooding aromas of dark
berries and kirsch, along with strong licorice and espresso accents. Deep, rich
and sweet, with outstanding concentration to the potent blackberry and cassis
flavors. Deep cherry pit and mineral notes on the long, broad-shouldered finish.
"The most concentrated classique bottling I have ever made," said Sabon.
