Partick Thistle ended a run of four games without a win as they knocked Queen of the South off top spot.
The Jags struck in first-half injury-time when Stephen McKeown crossed for Kevin McKinlay to convert.
Queens pushed for an equaliser after the break but Sean O'Connor volleyed over from 12 yards.
Queens skipper Jim Thomson was red-carded for a second booking before McKinlay converted a late penalty following a foul on Liam Buchanan.
