SEOUL - SOUTH Korea's government and financial regulatory agency will meet the heads of local banks on Monday to discuss a foreign currency funding squeeze, a finance ministry said on Sunday.
Kang Man-soo, Finance Minister, and Jun Kwang-woo, chairman of the Financial Services Commission, are scheduled to attend the meeting, which will start at 7.30 am on Monday (6.30am Singapore time).
'The main subject of the meeting is the issues of a dollar funding squeeze,' a ministry official said by telephone.

Anayansi Prado, director of "Maid in America" will speak Monday at 2 p.m. in the Skylight Lounge at Salt Lake Community College, 1575 S. State St. SLCC professor Frank Gerrish will moderate a short discussion about her work. Prado is at work on a documentary, "Give Us Your Retired, Your Rich, Your Americans," about the emigration of American retirees to Panama. She has just finished her second independent project, the documentary "Children in No Man's Land," about Mexican children who cross the border alone to be reunited with their parents in the U.S. In addition to directing films, Prado recently served as executive producer for the Discovery en Espanol series "Voces de Cambio," which dealt with humanitarian issues of the America's Latinos.
