[Starcraft 2] is still being worked on, but only by a minuscule amount of people compared to what [Blizzard] put on the Diablo 3 team.This has yet to be confirmed officially by Blizzard, and I personally doubt they will respond. Because this information was leaked unintentionally through a casual conversation with one of our staff members, we can not reveal the name of our source publicly - so to protect this individual and his/her position within Blizzard. Nor can we say that this came directly from Blizzard.
Nonetheless, this may be good or bad news to you. Personally, I don't mind - both games are equally sought after in my opinion.
We will do all we can to keep you updated with the latest.

Ok LOOK Starcraft was the best RTS ever why? Because that was back when RTSs still used strategy and creativity rather than some cheesy hero and a story.

All this means is the vast majority of content is complete on Starcraft thus requiring far fewer people to continue work. Bug fixes do not require gigantic piles of programmers and artists.
Also, the larger team might just be because of a desire for a shorter development cycle for Diablo 3.
This does not offer any hints that Diablo 3 will be done before Starcraft 2.

Hey Guys,
You can chose to believe me or not, but this is false. Blizzard doesn't have some huge pool of resources that they assign to one certain team or not. When someone is hired @ Blizzard, they are hired on to a certain team that only works on a specific game at one time. I have no idea if this rumor is true or false, but I will just say this: Just because SC2 was announced before D3, DOES NOT mean at all that SC2 was in development longer, it was just announced first. Either way, I would call this rumor false, the only true fact is that SC2's team is a lot smaller than D3, and that has always been a fact, always.

I call bull as well... last I had heard they were barely done with act 1 in diablo, and they had ony anounced 2 classes... SC is way closer to completion. That isn't to say I wouldn't shit the bed if it happened, but SC is probobly just heading to external testing.

Why would a company that has more money and market share than ANY of their competition NOT have multiple full development teams working at once?
This makes no sense. It costs 50 million to make a AAA game, Blizzard pulls that much cash in every month. They could easily fund 3 or 4 dev teams at once.

Nope. Starcraft has less people working on it because it's closer to completion.
Journalists and enthusiasts have had hands on with SC2, nobody has played Diablo 3 yet.

I don't believe this even for a second. While all of Blizzard's games are excellent, Starcraft is the best, and Diablo is by far my least favorite. I'll believe this when Blizzard announces sc will be released after, until then it makes perfect sense for a game thats fully playable and just needs campain work and some balance to necessitate a smaller design team.

I rate starcraft2 2 will comewout first. Blizzard have said that not all the classes where complete for diablo three plus a load more of artwork needs to be made for d3. Plus blizzard really like to test. I rate starcraft 2 will be first

Already at wwi Blizzard had completed all the characters (but they sure will fix stuff later on anyway).
BUT they have only completed act 1 so im not sure...
But also, Starcraft 2 needs LOADS more work on the campaign. Its not near completeon either.
So...well, either way..we need to wait atleast 1 year more for SC2 or D3 ... .__ .

If all they said was that the team was smaller, you can't say that one comes out before the other.
1) Blizzard has admitted that the remaining focus for SC2 is the campaign, which requires less resources than the game environment and structure itself.
2) You usually begin to shift resources away from one project to another once the first is nearing completion.
