Deluxe Sashimi

This picture is from Mr D's recent expedition to Miyajima, Japan. He stayed in this nice and luxurious hotel, and this was part of his deluxe dinner :)


The sashimi platter! Most of it look innocent and delicious enough, but you see that green thing by the side? It's a part of the sazae, or the turban shell (I think?). Informal research suggests that this is well, basically, part of the shellfish's digestive system? :P Heh heh heh heh heh :P

This post is celebrate Mr D's first taste of this delicacy :P I am still amazed at your courage and sense of adventure :P
