Japanese Rape and Butcher Animals in Posh Restaurant?
Even I baulked at reading this. Its terrible. I dont understand how it can still be open or if it is, how the Japanese can say "we Japanese are a developed nation and we care about animal welfare"

Utter sick (suitable for work though):

http://mdn.mainichi-msn.co.jp/waiwai/news/20070917p2g00m0dm002000c.html

"A disgusting and twisted restaurant in the Tokyo entertainment district of Roppongi is enticing warped rich folk with the opportunity to figuratively have their cake and eat it, too -- with animals, according to Jitsuwa Knuckles (9/25).

Roppongi's bestiality restaurant is being regarded by its main nouveau riche patronage of young company presidents and venture capitalists as a decadent practice only possible among the wealthy.

"Apparently, the restaurant started off quietly in the basement of a building that a real estate agent in Roppongi who couldn't find any other tenants," an S&M club worker identified only as M tells Jitsuwa Knuckles. "News about the restaurant spread through word of mouth and it became popular."

M says she visited the members-only restaurant about half a year ago after being invited there by one of her regulars, a well-heeled lawyer.

At first glance, the first floor restaurant appears fairly nondescript. When a customer goes in, they give their name to a receptionist. When they are approved, they pass through a wooden door to be greeted by another door, this one made of metal. Passing a membership card over a scanner outside the door will automatically open it. Inside is an eatery that resembles just about any other Italian restaurant.

Membership in the restaurant is open only to those with an annual salary of at least 20 million yen, and a minimum cash flow of 100 million yen.

"After we got into the main restaurant, an employee escorted us down to the basement," M says. "The walls were pitch black and the floor covered in a blood red carpet, so I guess the place must be a refurbished S&M club."

Once the customer feels prepared, they will be presented with beast of their choice. In the lawyer's case, it was a sow.

"I'd been told what to expect, but when I actually saw what was happening, it was as shocking as you'd imagine it to be," M tells Jitsuwa Knuckles. "Later, the lawyer told me the appeal of the place just came about because when people have got money and done everything else, they turn toward bestiality."

Once the lawyer had finished porking the pig, the couple returned to the first floor and sat at a table to dine. M says she was totally shocked when staff members carried in roast pork -- made of the same sow the lawyer had earlier been with.

"I was about to vomit," M says. "It was the same pig that had been squealing just moments before. Now, it had been roasted whole. I managed to avoid eating it by only having salad."

Incidentally, prices range from 200,000 yen to 500,000 yen for a chicken, dogs cost somewhere between 300,000 yen and 800,000 yen, while pigs and goats start at around 800,000 yen. Charges are higher depending on whether the creature is female and how active it is.

"The owner says he is prepared to cook up any kind of animal at all," M tells Jitsuwa Knuckles. "He even said he'd prepare elephants ... but I think he might have been joking about that." (By Ryann Connell)

The thing is, he invited some girl there TO WATCH.

Seeing as your location is Japan and looking through some of you posts, what makes you stay in such an unpleasant country?

Um...did you post this in Big Daikon today? Because in that thread they discounted your source. Regardless, I don't think the story is true.

Well, it was from a "tabloid" in Japan, so the source might be bad. The Mainichi ran it. What bothers me is that there has been no actual real investigation to prove it either way. When rags like the UK's "News of the World" runs a sensational story like this, then it at least motivates those who matter into action.

In Japan?

I leave you to your own conclusions.

Just because it's open (if it's true) doesn't mean it has government approval. It may be open illegally or under false pretenses and you shouldn't take it as generally indicative of Japanese society. That's like saying the US is a terrible country because there are so many brothels and dog fight clubs and Hells Angels, etc.

I think it is much more indicative of the sickness of a society when movies like "Saw" are mega-hits.

Well said

Couldn't have put it better myself.

Although I may add...

Why the fuck do you care what rich people do with their food before they eat it? Go hug a fucking tree or animal or something.

Sex with 14 year old girls is legal in some parts of Japan. Shouldn't you be more worried about that? Or Global warming?

I think you have your facts wrong. In fact, I know it. After living in Japan for a decade, I can tell you that sex with anyone under the age of 18 is clearly ILLEGAL.

Japanese and Korean horror films, anyone?

I don't think horror movies are indicative of cultural sickness.

Aside from that, I don't think that one isolated place or incident is evidence that the Japanese don't care about animal welfare.

I'm not sure weather "Jitsuwa Knuckles" is a person or some kind of tabloid, because i couldn't get into the original article to read it.

But, if it's supposedly a person's name then this article is clearly a fake. "Jitsuwa" is Japanese for "in fact...", and Knuckles is, well, obviously not a Japanese word.

Other things that smell fishy about this article: Japanese people don't eat dog, and never have. While it's conceivable that one or two Japanese might have a taste for it, their society views dogs just like our's does. The Japanese won't even eat corned beef because they complain it looks too much like dog food, so why would they eat dogs?

The other OBVIOUS flaw of this story is: Even if you do eat dog, why would you pay 8000 DOLLARS to beat and kill one at a restaraunt when you can walk to the local pet shop and buy one to beat and kill in your own home for 25 dollars??? Come on, people. Stop being retarded and read a fucking book.

is the name of a tabloid magazine. 実話 in this case means 'true stories', which just adds to the irony of the magazine.

Not to mention the fact that pigs are stronger than they look and it's difficult for one person to wrestle one down, let alone hold it still long enough to have sexual intercourse with it.

Of course we haven't even touched down on the fact that, a restaurant in Japan is likely to have some kind of beef on the menu... Can you imagine holding a struggling FUCKING COW down long enough to fuck it? This is, of course, assuming we live in fairy land where an illegally-run restaurant can somehow sneak WHOLE LIVE FUCKING COWS into the back without alerting the authorities, and without the cow going FUCKING CRAZY and running around destroying the place.

What about horse? COME ON PEOPLE!!!!!!!!! People being dumb makes me angry. I'm sorry.

Prime, are you posting crap again? Let's not get overtly anti-Japanese if you can help it. If you are going to post tabloid tripe, at least post the kinky well-it-COULD-happen sex stuff. It's far more entertaining than the BLINDINGLY fake.

And dude, are you STILL here in Japan? Crap. How long has it been now? Last time I saw you, we were eating ramen after the first Appleseed movie.

So what? Sometimes tabloids are...gasp...true.

I never said it was fact...but if it were.

Perhaps you should be a bit more forthcoming with your defense of the article? I've heard that researching and presenting a viable counter argument based upon facts might help.

If you are in anyway unsure as to how to do this, I'm certain there are some fine, outstanding educational establishments out there just begging to show you the way.

I await your facts to prove the article wrong.
