Benchmark description: Blu-ray Playback (AVC format)

We measure HD content playback capability for this platform using a two part metric: Visual Movie Quality (subjective, score between 1 and 5) and the CPU Utilization (objective, score in %). We use both to measure playback quality over the first 100 seconds of specific movie titles and chapters covering a variety of bitrates and codec formats (MPEG2, VC1 and AVC). The higher the Visual Movie Quality score, the better. The lower the CPU utilization score, the better.
