Kota Kinabalu: The Daily Express-Overseas Chinese Daily News fund collection for the China earthquake and Myanmar cyclone victims soared to RM391,213.20, Thursday.

The amount collected for the China quake fund stands at RM37,873.30 bringing the total to RM295,930.70 while the Myanmar cyclone fund rose by RM9,960 to RM95,282.50.

The biggest contributor of the day was the Persatuan Soka Gakkai Malaysia Sdn Bhd which donated RM10,000 for the China quake fund and RM5,000 towards the Myanmar cyclone fund.

Those wishing to contribute could donate via cash or cheque to either the Myanmar or China disaster victims or both from 9am to 5pm daily at our head office in Kampung Air or Tanjung Aru.

Cheques must be crossed and made payable to the Sabah Publishing House Sdn Bhd, the publisher of Daily Express.

Donors paying by cheque should write down their names, contact number, IC numbers and either the word "Myanmar Fund" or "China Fund" at the back of the cheque.

Those wishing to contribute to both causes are advised to issue separate cheques. Receipts would be issued to the donors. The full list of the latest donors will appear on Sunday.
