The Wonder Autumn Evening with Stevie at Madison Square Garden Saturday a week ago was very good! Can you believe Stevie hasn't performed in NYC for 11 years? He was in top shape playing non-stop 2 hours and a half a NYC set with a lot of his old classics from "Innervisions" to "Songs in the Key of Life". He got us crying from the second song on his long version of "Visions" talking about how unacceptable is our world right now! Tony Bennett and Prince made 2 special appearances too. It was really powerful, emotionally intense and beautiful! And what a entertainer he is! We love you Stevie!

先々週の土曜日NYCのMADISON SQUARE GARDENで行われたSTEVIE WONDERのコンサート「THE WONDER AUTUMN EVENING WITH STEVIE」は最高でした! 最後にSTEVIEがNYCでライヴをやったのが11年前だと信じられますか? 「INNERVISIONS」から「SONGS IN THE KEY OF LIFE」の昔の名曲を中心に2時間半に渡って元気いっぱいにNYCセットを演奏してくれた。二曲目の「VISIONS」で現在のみじめな世の中について訴えるSTEVIEの長いヴァージョンで涙が出ました。TONY BENNETTとPRINCEもスペシャル・ゲストとして飛び入りしました。とてもパワフルで、感動的で素敵なコンサートでした! そしてSTEVIEはi今でも本当に素晴らしいエンタテーナーです! WE LOVE YOU STEVIE!

Thanksgiving dinner at home with friends were really good. I almost had a food coma. I am so happy we got to use our new wine glasses from Rosenthal and some silverware from Forge de Laguiole.

The long anticipated retrospective album "My occupation - The Music of Chaz Jankel" charting the solo career of the legendary Chaz Jankel (The Blockheads) is out on London label's Tirk. Encompassing sounds including disco, new wave, electro, R&B and pop. Chaz Jankel was Ian Dury's writing and performing partner in The Blockheads. This album covers Chaz’　solo career, including hits such as the platinum selling 'Glad To Know You' and 'Ai No Corrida'. Also included on the album are exclusive, previously unreleased alternate versions and mixes. An amazing collection of serious classic boogie jams! Not to missed.

ロンドンのTIRKレーベルから待ちに待った元THE BLOCKHEADSの伝説アーティストCHAZ JANKELのソロ活動を纏めて編集アルバム「MY OCCUPATION - THE MUSIC OF CHAZ JANKEL」がリリースされた。DISCO, NEW WAVE, ELECTRO, R&BとPOPを幅広く取り入れた素晴らしい内容となっている。CHAZ JANKELは80年代THE BLOCKHEADSでIAN DURYのパートナーであった。ここには最高にカッコいいブーギーなDISCOサウンドが収録されます。もちろんプラチナムとなった大ヒットの 「GLAD TO KNOW YOU」と「AI NO CORRIDA」も収録されています。そして特別に未発表テークやヴァージョンも収録されているので、お楽しみに!

Still on the boogie tip, NYC's Kon and Amir (I told about you about them a few months ago) have finally their excellent compilation/mix CD "Off Track - volume one The Bronx" out on bbe. It is a serious double mix CD with each one mixing one CD. Kon's selection is more on the boogie/disco vibe and Amir's selection is on the deep jazz tip. I warned you, they are serious music lovers and diggers! It is awesome to be always able to discover new (old) gems you have never heard of. No matter what you say NYC can be so inspiring in terms of music. Big up!

ブギーな感じで、数ヶ月前に紹介したNYCのユニットKON AND AMIRがbbeから素晴らしいコンピ/ミックスCD「OFF TRACK - VOLUME ONE THE BRONX」をリリース。2枚組のミックスCDでそれぞれ一人が一枚のCDをミックス。KONのセレクションはDISCOよりでAMIRはDEEPなJAZZよりです。彼等は音楽を愛している凄いオタクなレコード・コレクターです! とてもマニアックなセレクションで、こうやって聴いたことの無い新しい古い曲を発見できるのは本当に嬉しいこれです。やはりNYCは音楽的にはとてもインスパイヤーされます。BIG UP!

On a more electronic side, Henrik Schwarz part of the Innervisions Orchestra who has been making some of the best records these days has a brand new live album out on K7! Play it out.

次はエレクトロニックだと、INNERVISIONS ORCHESTRAの一員でもあって最近素晴らしい作品をリリースし続けているHENRIK SCHWARZがK7!からライヴ・アルバムをリリース! 大音量で聴くべきです。

Also, the canadian techno hero Matthew Johnson who has been revitalising techno for the last few years teamed up wit 2 friends as electronic techno jazz live/laptop unit called Cobblestone Jazz. They have a double album called "23 Seconds" out now of heavy deep space fusion techno which is absolutely mind-blowing! Featured on the second disc, a live set recorded in Madrid offers an example of the trio's loose-limbed, improvisatory aesthetic.The hand-drawn artwork is great too.

NYCのCHINATOWNにある名門中華料理屋さんJOE'S SHANGHAIで昨日食べたスープが入った水餃子は本当に美味しかったです!
