WBC female atomweight champion Winyu Paradorngym is scheduled for a rematch with Japan's Momo Koseki in the Thai's first title defence in October. ''Winyu is going to face Momo in Japan in October,'' Winyu's promoter Preeyakorn Rattanasuban said yesterday.
The 25-year-old Winyu of Phitsanulok defeated the Japanese to win the vacant 102-pound belt in Ayutthaya last September. She will have two warm-up bouts in June and August before her fight against Momo.
The promoter admitted that it could be risky for the Thai champion (6-1, 1KOs) to fight overseas.

Winyu Paradorngym will fight in Japan. |
''She lost narrowly to Winyu the last time,'' said Preeyakorn. ''She might have won the fight if it had been held in Japan.''
But she said the 26-year-old Japanese is beatable if Winyu is well prepared and performs to her standard.
''Our trainer knows how to beat Momo. Hopefully Winyu will retain the title,'' she said.
Momo outpointed Mayumi Kubo in Tokyo last Friday.
Preeyakorn added that Winyu failed to impress in her last two warm-up fights because she had too many distractions and activities such as being a boxing teacher.
Momo (4-2) hopes that it will be third time lucky in her third title shot. She also lost to Samson Sor Siriporn in the WBC female light-flyweight championship last November.
In the meantime, Devid Nakornluangpromotion (18-1, 9KOs) will take on Jorge Arce of Mexico in the WBC super-flyweight elimination fight in Mexico on Sunday morning (Thai time).
The winner will get a chance to meet champion Cristian Mijares within 90 days.
It will be the first fight abroad for the 29-year-old Thai who is ranked second in the division. The Surin native is likely to have a tough fight against Arce (48-4, 37KOs) who was champion in the light-flyweight and flyweight divisions.
