The OS X desktop as music video watch!
tuaw.com — A digital filmmaker named Dennis Liu has made an amazing video for The Bird And The Bee's lovely song "Again & Again". The set? His Mac desktop. You sort of have to see it for yourself to understand; luckily, Dennis has dropped it on YouTube so that the world can see it in low-res glory.

Nicely made. Could be better if the video of the singer was closely synced to the lyrics, some parts of it feel like they don't fit in with the song, but overall very good.

Apple should use this for an iMac commercial. Because it shows OS X. It shows a Mac period. Not like the dozens of other Mac commercials where they always talk about Windows Vista.
I'm a firm believer that the words "Windows" and "Vista" should never be used in an Apple commercial! Hey Apple... you make such great computers. Why are your commercials so bad? Why don't you show us how good Macs are, instead of making us feel stupid for using Windows all our lives? You want to convert us? Convince us! -

He originally tried to do this with Windows Vista, then Windows XP. Of course, the numbers of processes either froze the system by :30, or the track was repeated four times (again and again) so Windows could catch up (and it was all out of sync anyway).
Everyone who diggs me down believes OSX is a superior product. Everyone who diggs me up owns a Mac. -

Okay... fine "desktop artistry" so to speak. However, I didn't see anything that would be unique to a Mac's desktop that he used to actually facilitate the 'art' to the video. The same damn thing could be done on Linux or Windows, easily enough. Appreciate the guy's work, folks - but to categorize it as being something special that could only be done on a Mac would be a fallacy.
