How are Thai's Coping with the Coup?

So what do you do if your country is 95% Buddhist, and while your Prime Minister is in New York to address the United Nations a Muslim General uses tanks to take over the capital, imposes martial law, and declares the constitution null and void? Guerilla fighting? Rioting? Protests?

Well, if you are Thai, you either

A) Go about your life as normal

or

B) Hand out roses to the soldiers and pose for photographs.

The tanks have been such a big draw that just about everyone is coming out to have their photos taken.

Buddhist Monks

Heck, you might as well use it as the back drop for a music video.

Things have gotten so bad that current government has had to impose rules banning soldiers from allowing people to handle and pose for photographs with their rifles. They've also had to ban GoGo Dancers from coming out and dancing for the soldier and have banned the use of the tanks for commercial purposes.

This recently got some actors in trouble who used the military as a backdrop to promote a new TV show set to debut in October.
