Version 3 of eddie11c's popular Leo4all release has been uploaded to a private ftp, and should appear 'around' shortly. Leo4all is a 'universal' release and works on AMD and Intel. The official release notes are attached, here are the highlights:
QUOTE
First and most importantly is a totally rebuilt filesystem. The advantage with this is I no longer had to script a repair permissions from the DVD. This speeds install a good bit for most people. Don't worry if the timer says some outrageous time, as it does not calculate it correctly. The initial package install is very large and takes the most time, but once its done the install is almost done. I still recommend running repair permissions from Leopard once your all loaded up to fix some errors, but none of these will stop the system from booting. If you run it twice you should see zero errors on Intel and 2 SUID files on AMD. There is an install script that crashes on AMD machines causing this, but to keep everything perfect on intel I chose to leave the script intact.

This DVD now supports AHCI with more than 2 drives thanks to the updated kext's posted by Cyclonefr.

Also fixed this go around is X11 for both Intel and AMD. If, when you close it the first time, cpu usage jumps to 100% open terminal and type xeyes & to fix it. You will need to reboot after, but it should never glitch again.

There is no longer a ./RemoveVideo script, it has been updated and is now called ./options.

ACPIPlatform:
1.1.0 or 1.2.1. Included in each is ACPIPS2Nub to fix PS2 issues.

AppleSMBIOS:I put in lots of choices for different versions based on bus speed if you want it to show your proper memory speed, or if you want your hack to look like a real mac. The default install if nothing is selected is Netkas improved version 27.

Options are:

DDR667

DDR800

DDR1066

DDR1333

iMac

MacBook

MacPro

Kernel:
I have added Netkas 9.2.0 sleep kernel, and 9.2.2 binpatched kernel ny Modbin(Be warned this does not work on all AMD machines! SSE3 CPU is required!). The default install is still Netkas 9.2.0 speedstep kernel. There are also the Stock kernels(vanilla) 9.2.0/9.2.2

RemoveFireWire:
For those that have issues with FireWire, or those that just want to speed their boot time a little. This moves all of the IOFireWire kext's to /FireWire folder in the root of your install drive.

About This Mac:
This is my own little installer to customize "About this Mac" with your processor info. No it does not fix memory speed, you have to do that with AppleSMBIOS. It should work for all languages and should report overclocked CPU's properly.

Power Management:

By popular demand I added the laptop power management bundle to the install. You will still need to set it up in system preferences. This is known to have a few minor bugs. It may not report the proper time remaining or any time remaining for that matter, so use at your own risk. If you select this please do not select an ACPIPlatform, as this requires version 1.1.0.

AMD System Fix:
You will notice it is checked and greyed out by default. To take out alot of user error (people forgetting to check it for their AMD systems) I have added a script to detect the CPU and patch accordingly. When its running it will echo your processor information in the install log (if you show all). It will then skip the patch process if your on Intel or patch if its an AMD. I hope it works well for everyone!

Bootloader:
This option is checked and greyed out by default. It is Dense's script to install EFI and make the partition active. If you already have an existing bootloader (like from Vista) on the same logical drive it will not overwrite it. It will however flag the partition you installed to active, so you will have to manually set your Windows partition active again if needed.

Chipset Drivers:
(NOTE- JMicron is the only driver that always installs so please choose at least 1 option, some will have to choose 2 [if you have Marvell IDE and Intel SATA for example] ) If your not sure you can click all but 1 Nforce, as they will overwrite each other.

Nforce Old - This is the older version of Medevils Nforce(1.0.2) driver. Install this if you have issues with SATA enabled causing a panic. Known to work for some Nforce3 users.

Nforce Test- If you have a SATA DVD or do not have issues booting the DVD normally choose the NforceTest.

SiliconImage3132 - I have not found anyone that uses this specific chipset to confirm if it works.

VIA, SiS, Marvell and SB - Please install this if you are using any of these chipsets. If you have a Marvell IDE drive please install this as they should be supported. I have added many ID's here so I hope they all work! This chioce installs AppleVIAATA, AppleOnboardPCATA and AppleGenericPCATA. Confirmed working for SiS!

SAS - By request I added support for this, as of my writing this its untested. Hopefully it works.

Intel ICHx- If you have ICH7/8/9 chipsets you should install this. This is the modified version by -Dune- to support more than 2 drives and fix the over 2Gigs of RAM panics.

Audio:
These choices have not changed much, only added support for STAC9271 by request. If your not sure what chipset you have, please choose AzaliaAudio(for most HD) or AC97Audio.
Choices are:

ALC850/882/883/888/889

AC97Audio

ADI1988

STAC9271

AzaliaAudio

Graphics Drivers:
I have updated many of these packages.

ATI- there are options for:

3850

3870

2600XT(PCIE)

2600XT(AGP)

3870X2

2600PRO(PCIE)

2600PRO(AGP)

X1600(PCIE)

X1600(AGP)

X19X0

X1400 Mobility

Nvidia- I have updated the drivers to the latest available from the Mac Pro's and edited to include all Device ID's I could verify. This should cover mostly all 6XXX/7XXX/8XXX series cards. (List of ID's found in attached release notes)

NVinject- By request I have added options for different version of Nvinject(0.1.3/0.2.0/0.2.1). If your not sure choose version 0.2.1 with the proper amount of RAM your video card. I have added a modified version of 0.2.1 for 1Gig of VRAM.

GMA950 - QE/CI+resolution change with some artifacts

GMA950 - No Aritfacts QE/CI but no resolution.

GMAX3100 - suppose to give QE/CI(confirmed for device ID 0x2a02)

Network Drivers:
ForceDeth- This is compatible with most Nforce LAN.

ForceDeth-V - This is compatible with most Nforce LAN(recommended version)

Skge - Driver for most Marvell LAN cards.

RTL8187- Just as it says for Realtek 8187

Zydas USB- For the USB Wireless LAN adapter

Tiger IO80211- Some Atheros cards require this Tiger version to work. Default install is IO80211 from 10.5.2

Broadcom- WLAN driver for BCM4306/4309/4318/4320/4324

RT2500- Suppose to support Dlink WMP54G v4.0, may support some others.

ViaRhine- Just as it says, for ViaRhine chipsets

Intel 100Pro VE- Just as it says, for the Intel 100Pro VE chipset

RT2860- Driver for some chipsets like WL-181, may also work on some others.

Good Applications:
You can choose to install or not, but I do recommend many of these useful programs. They include:

Adium

AppZapper

BBEdit

CandyBar

Colloquy

FireFox

Gumby 50c

Invisibles

KCNScrew

KextHelper

Marvin's AMD Utility

MD5

Pacifist

PackageMaker version 2.1(old harder to find)

Stuffit Expander

Textmate

Transmission

TubeSock

Unison

VLC

Xbench

I'm waiting for a torrent, hopefully on Brokenstones soon since it'll be seeded faster.

Leo4All V2 wouldn't work for me though.. but Leo4All V1 did. I hope this one works.
antwan911
Waiting on private tracker upload.

Sounds great.
Macshiba
This seems like it's going to be the best. All my hardware seems integrated, and I'm loving the About This Mac Installer.

Cheers!

How does this compare to, let's say, the 10.5.2 Kalyway?

orly?
Macshiba
I've had more success with Leo4All than Kalyway. It just depends on preference and your hardware. I think Leo4All is the best so far, especially this release.
Rufus T. Firefly
soon as I get a working PC i'll be sure to try this
keypox
get it on the groups please ... torrents to slow
Macshiba
It's not slow if you get it from a private tracker.

I'm looking in all torrent sites and none have it... What private tracker? What group?

Thanks wacko.gif

(I need this beacuse it have X1400 Mobility Support and my Acer Aspire 5670 will love it tongue.gif)
Macshiba
It's on the pirate bay now.
Brokenstones in a little bit.
eddie11c
It is up at some of the popular public places already. Sorry I have been real busy watching hockey, so was unable to get it up quicker.
jotokun
I get wifi working AND an upgrade to 10.5.2? YAY! I always seem to have better luck with pre-patched installs over patching myself, so hopefully this solves my wifi. And while its at it, I hope it solves my requirement of shutting off a core on my cpu... looks very promising.
Macshiba
I hope somehow the ethernet issues are fixed with the Via Rhine II from disconnecting itself and having to use cpus=1.Also, everyone who's getting it from tpb, please seed at atleast 40kb so we can get this faster. It's going pretty slow right now.Once it gets finished, I'll toss it up on private trackers in case someone wants it.I've got a 1.5MB/sec upload line dedicated to bittorrent, as well as a seed box that I can throw it on.
alvyweb
Thanks! Is downloading...

A question, i have a Acer Aspire 5670 (5672 WLMi) and i know with Leo4allv3 i see (X1400 Mobility) so ¿When i boot my Mac will i have running the video card?

And another, for the intel 3945ABG, I have iwi3945, but don't get up. Can i use this card with Leo4allv3?

Thanks and sorry 4 my english...

Macshiba
When you install you need to check the option for you video card.
ka911
I don't know whey no one will add Linksys USB WUSB54GS V4 (RT2500USBWirelessDriver) to there DVDs? I have do do it every time manually! oh what the hack, I will do it by my-self.
Software Updater
So far it is NOT on the TPB OR on Demonoid.*RESERVED*
eddie11c
It most definately is as well as bs...
xxDriveNxx
It's on BS, with very slow download speeds (I'm at 45.3 kB/s.)
Hopefully it end up going faster. When it finishes, I'll either upload to Demonoid or help seed it there.

Update:
Apparently the BS staff just deleted it for being a 'dupe'. Someone didn't read right. tongue.gif

Hey Guys, Leo4Allv3 is on the TPB!! Uploaded Today
Annoid
Ahoy, Yar, and yo, ho, ho.... It sailed into the bay about an hour ago.
tha_toadman
...well piss...refreshed to find "No torrent with ID 27082."
Macshiba
Yeah, the admin maddog deleted it as a dupe without checking.

I PMed him, and hopefully eddie will reupload it.
eddie11c
No offense, but I will just avoid bs. They delete the torrent and can't be bothered to even pm me.
tha_toadman
ohmy.gif ...bummer! i'm ready to seed there if they'd just leave it alone.
xeongx
Found it smile.gif

Leo4Allv3
Macshiba
They deleted it because Maddog is a 14 year old kid who is an "admin" and doesn't bother to do his duties to the site and deleted the torrent without even checking.
New2OSx
Does it Support for Nforce 560 chipsets? I had an HP Pavillon dv2715nr and all v1 and v2 did not recognize the hard drive.

I'd love you if you re-uploaded it. smile.gif
Download is faster, and I can seed at 1 meg.

Update:
It's back on BS! Thanks eddie!
eddie11c
Last try with them, if they delete I will not put back up.
NewGuyhere
you know what would be cool? if someone would upload on usenet servers, an I would get it like 2500KB/s download speed smile.gif once I download I will definitely upload on usenet
Macshiba
Right now I'm seeding back what I got from tpb, but for BS I'm seeding at 45-65kb/sec so I'm maxing out my connection right now.
tha_toadman
no worries, eddie. 3 people have already commented that it's "not a dupe". and nice tagline on the torrent...they should get the hint this time! wink.gif

maybe to teach 'maddog' a lesson...can someone write NOT A DUPE in ASCII art for us?! that would be classic!
eddie11c
Feel free to visit my Wiki for feedback/FAQ (it will be updated) or if you wish to donate. I hope installs go well, as I spent alot of time working on it. Please ignore the timer as i said in the readme, the installer does not calculate the time properly, the first package is very large containing the bulk of the file system.
exholt
Would this work on Pentium 4 systems like the Dimension 4600 or older Northwood P4 based systems without the install DVD booting back into the bios before it reaches the first Leopard installation dialog box?
FootinMebum
Downloadingnow at 1kbps. Gonna try it out on my Sony VGN FS750N laptop in X3100 mode (GMA965 X3100 + Switchable 8400gs m GFX / T8100) ope this one works better than the other distros! rolleyes.gif

Hmm... tried to register, found out that I need an invite... sad.gif Need to stuck with the open trackers for this one...
Macshiba
Don't feel bad, even on the private tracker it's slow just like tpb because of only 2 seeders.

Once we all get here here within the next hour it will pick up big time.

Also, if you want one, just PM me, but show me some kind of ratio.
