Welcome to the Bayswater Civic Association site!

We hold public meetings  from September through June at the Bayswater Jewish Center on Healy Avenue.   Our next meeting will be   Monday, December 20th 2004 at 8:00 pm. Our featured speaker is William Ledwitz, Park Manager, Bayswater State Park who will speak about his role and future plans for the park. We will also have a presentation by the Director of the College of New Rochelle's site situated in Rockaway. He will discuss the innovative programs available to residents. .  We look forward to seeing you there!


BCA Background

Since 1935 the BCA has dedicated itself to maintaining the suburban lifestyle and quality of life in Far Rockaway. The BCA conducts monthly meetings, hosts topical speakers, produces informative newsletters and participates in local organizations to help meet this objective.

The blend of suburban homes, plentiful trees, low taxes and transportation access makes Bayswater the ideal Queens town. The convenience of Five Town shopping with a fifteen minute ride to the JFK airport are added bonuses to living in Bayswater.

The Long Island Rail Road is a short walk and a 45 minute trip to mid-town Manhattan. The A Line elevated will take you into Manhattan in less than an hour for the price of a Metrocard ride.

Mission Statement

The BCA dedicates itself to represent our area and members toward stabilization and preservation of the suburban lifestyle. We will work with other organizations such as the 101st Precinct Community Council, Queens Civic Congress and Community Board 14Q to ensure close attention to local issues and coordination of effort to resolve them.
