As previously announced, the replay of the Asian Qualification in both the men's and women's category for the Beijing 2008 Olympic Games takes place today and tomorrow at the Yoyogi National Stadium in Tokyo, Japan, under the full responsiblity of the IHF.
Todays women's match saw the following result.:
Korea - Japan 34:21 (18:12)
The women's national team of Korea therefore qualified for the Women's Olympic Handball Tournament at the 2008 Olympic Games in Beijing. Furthermore, Japan will take part in one of the IHF Olympic Qualification Tournaments, which are due to take place from 28 to 30 March 2008.
The match deciding the outcome of the Asian Men's Olympic Qualification will be played tomorrow between Japan and Korea at 7:20pm (local time) at the Yoyogi National Stadium in Tokyo.
