In its meeting on 17th /18th December 2007, the IHF Council decided that the Asian qualifying matches in both the men’s and women’s category for the Beijing 2008 Olympic Games have to be replayed by the end of January 2008 in compliance with the Olympic timeline and under the full responsibility of the IHF.
We now have the pleasure to confirm to you that in line with this decision the repeat tournament will be held in:
Venue: Yoyogi National Stadium, First Gymnasium in Tokyo, Japan
Dates: 29th January 2008 (Women) 30th January (Men)
The participating nations for the qualifications are Korea and Japan.
