Green Lane Coming
We encourage you to visit the PATT
website and offset your car’s carbon emissions by
joining the PATT Carbon Free programme,
http://www.plant-a-tree-today.org/home.asp.
Early in 2008, NIST will introduce a green lane
usable only by cars with the NIST Carbon
Free Sticker, which is automatically sent to you when
you register with PATT.

Visit of HRH
Princess Maha Chakri Sirindhorn
10th January, 2008

On
Thursday 10th January, Her Royal Highness Princess Maha
Chakri Sirindhorn visited NIST, and graciously opened
the new Creative Arts Building. Her Royal Highness was
welcomed to the school with speeches from the Chairman
of the Executive School Board Khun Chaipat Srivisarvacha,
the Headmaster Mr Simon Leslie, and Mrs
Pam Tansanguanwong, a Parent Representative of the New
International School of Thailand.
Her Royal Highness was presented with a painting by
Ritah Chumdermpadetsuk of Year 8.
Following the official welcome, Princess Sirindhorn
officially opened the building, and then visited Art,
Drama and Music classes before signing the visitor's
book in the Library.

New Year's
Alumni Party - 19 December, 2007
A large
number of NIST Alumni attended the first Alumni New
Year's Party in December. Special guests were Mr.
David Monk, and Ms Lucy Deas, formerly of NIST, and now
working at the International School of Amsterdam. |

Year 9
visit Chitralada Palace
As part of
their Thai Studies Course, Year 9 recently visited some
of the Royal Projects at Chitralada Palace in Bangkok. |

loss of Her Royal Highness Princess Galyani
Vadhana, 1923-2008. |
