(CNSNews.com) - Part of the Pentagon collapsed at 10:18 a.m. Tuesday after it was hit by an aircraft, and one of the two New York City World Trade Towers hit by commercial aircraft also collapsed Tuesday morning, in an apparently coordinated terror attack on the United States. The United States evacuated the White House, the Capitol, the State Department, and other federal buildings as a precaution, and air force jets scrambled over Washington, D.C. The FAA shut down all air traffic nationwide shortly before 10 a.m., just around the time one of the two burning World Trade Towers completely collapsed. A witness reported seeing a huge explosion over the top of the Pentagon, before her nearby office building was evacuated. Reports on local television said a large airliner plunged into the west side of the Pentagon, where "high ranking officials" are believed to have their offices, and the building was on fire as of mid-morning. More to come.
