What do you mean ouch for the PS3 again? See, the PS3 beat the GBA in hardware sales. The onslaught larry predicted for june is already starting.

Nice. Wii supplies sure has gone up. Yeah, even with a new release, still very lowe PS3 numbers. Pokemon in the lead throughout the summer (What better way to spend your days). Super Paper Mario still in top 10.
I wonder why Crackdown sold this week....

If you mean by adding in 100k+ a month of wii sports sales that isn't really legitamite hardware then yes. The truth is nintendo sold 121k less hardware than is tallyed up for this week. I don't see hexic with 9.77 million sales so why do i see wii sports?

1. Nintendo doesn't consider it software sales, they don't announce they've sold 6 million copies of wii sports. 2. 3rd party companies don't consider it software sales, when capcom had Lost Planet in january they released a press release proclaiming it the top selling game of january, yet this site had Wii sports first. What does that tell you? And finally the most telling sign, NPD doesn't even consider it software sales and they are the official company that tracks them.

Nah the GBA sales are all Micro... And it's because it's cheap, exactly the reason that PS2 is still selling... if you were to go by that logic it shouldn't be still selling...

dallas = deluded, a game that is released this week makes the top ten... i wouldn't say that demand is growing, it's just simply 57,000 people bought a game when it came out... its better than all of the other new releases this week, but nothing spectacular and definitely not increasing demand YET.

I can't believe Shrek the Third sold so poorly on PS2 although I will assume it's got a very flat curve and will pick up slightly when the movie is released (it's not released yet is it?)

Nintendogs hits 5 million! Wow.

Glad to see a revision of old Pokemon data along with the new week's worth. 2.28 million already!

Pokemon vs. Nintendogs may shape up to be a good race. Nintendogs will move well beyond 6 million for sure, but can Pokemon catch up? I can't imagine what else could become the top all-time DS game in America at this point.

Yeah I just bought a Micro this weekend. Had to. Nice system and will be a collector's item. $50 from Wal-Mart how could I NOT?

Hang it up for PS3.
•Over 6 to 1 Wii to PS3.
•Over 3 to 1 PS2 to PS3.
•Over 3 to 1 XBox 360 to PS3.

They're only beating the lonely lonely Gamecube. Why do people hate the Gamecube so? It was a good system!
At least PS3 got a title in the top ten. I'll give 'em that. Will it be there next week? Probably not but we'll see.

Get ready for July folks.

At the top you can select previous weeks. Wii had 125,928 hardware sales last week. (Perhaps last week numbers were updated from their first posting, I don't recall what they said a week ago).

Good mix of titles in the top 50 - but PSP is missing (no titles)?

PS3 sales still weak - just like Japan. A "1st weeker" (50k = bad), and a few more sales for Spidey.

Shrek not selling anywhere as good as Spidey = interesting. Heard the movie did more in the US in its first week.

Wii hardware sales are scary --> 500k for a 4 week period?

Activision doing really well - them & Nintendo own the top 15 at the moment (Guitar Hero!).

someone should notice that ioi went back and increased the wii totals from the past 4 weeks by 25k each... did nintendo really up the shipments by 40k/week? that would put the wii at over 500k this month in america... a 150k increase from last month... that seems odd to me.

Wii numbers on vgcharts were way low compared to NPD numbers for April, so I assume that was part of the reason for the adjustment. Nintendo said there should be increase production for May.so this is probably fairly accurate. Given that wiis still sell out in 1-2 days after weekly shipments, they probably didn't increase production enough.

great hardware numbers for nintendo, and still a good performance of Super Paper Mario! In some weeks it's going to pass the million w/w without being released in europe!

rayman is also approaching the half million so I assume that it has passed the million w/w, rayman is a european IP and it was always in the top five of the wii sales charts for many european countries.

And we can expect Wii to have a sell-through of more than 400k in may, too.

WiiGirl76 says:
I think the WII will surpass the 360 by the end of the year. If not... sooner. Xbox 360 was already at 9 milion while the WII was only at 4 milion, the WII is already at almost 7.5 milion and will surpass the 8 milion next month for sure. If the Xbox 360 has just enough strength to surpass the 10 milion in a week or 2 the WII is only 2 milion away. The WII is less then 7 months away from it´s release and is only 2.3 milion behind the 360. So the WII is marging in with more then a milion per month! To think that the Europeans don't have Paper Mario yet and that game is one of the most wanted. People can say the 360 will have a bunch of great games, but so does the WII! To think that a large number of top games will head for the WII, in Japan, Europe and America, it will sure boost up the sales more. There are a bunch of people waiting especially for Super Smash Brawls and Mario Galaxy with buying even the WII.

There's absolutely no evidence that strong Wii sales hurt the DS. Look at all the big three markets, the DS has performed stronger than ever before even with all the Wii being a most sought after item. Both do go after similar markets (casual gamers, non-gamers, women) but as one gets stronger is strangly seems the other one does as well. Nintendo just is on top of the video game world right now.

Crakdown back in top 10 cause of Halo 3 Beta, C&C sales have been disappointing no 400,000 selling game this month for 360 (there is one a month lately).

How interesting, Wii hardware is amazing! Wii software is actually lackluster.
373,185 - 121.277 - 66.268 = 185.640
I dont think Wii sports should be counted on the chart, becuase it will be #1 every week unless a big game comes out. Expect 100,000+/month untill they take it out. (likely never) I feel it skews the chart, and in america, and for american numbers, I feel it's too small to be considered a full fledged game. And Wii play, is worse than Wii sports, it's just a wiimote, that you pay 10$ more for. 10-20$ games arent counted for PS2/PSP. Why should they be for the Wii?

That leaves the Wii's software sales at 185.640 while the PS3 is around 160.000 Amazing hardware for the Wii, Not so impressive software. ***AMAZING*** Software for the PS3.

the results fear no better for Sony, and the 360 seems to
have come off its Black Elite Cloud nine, I don't know of selling 3 models of the Xbox
360 is actully confusing gamers? the Wii has just one unit to sell, and the PS3 is a mess
with its units, one minute there selling 20GB in different countrys, then there not,
now there bringing out an 80GB, but not in Europe?. so there's no consistancy from
Sony....but I think Nintendo from a marketing point has the single unit that does
what it needs to do.
I understand why Microsoft have 3 consoles, but I just think it could be a distraction
more than a benefit to new buyers.

pack in games are counted, have a look at the sales charts for other pack in games (SMB, Tetris, etc)

Saying these games wouldn't sell without being with the console is ridiculous, in all these cases these were the games that sold the consoles. Completely disregarding Wii Sport totals when comparing tie ratios is not fair. Obviously, counting them all is also unfair. What's left to do? Just quit your whining and stop trying to empirically compare numbers.
