Final Fantasy Christmas Card From Square Enix
Mon, 24 Dec 2007 01:37:03 +0000
Square Enix didn’t top BioWare’s Mass Effect Christmas card, but this one was worth an honorable mention. At external glance, their card just looks like a snow man, but you open it to realize the eyes actually belong to a cute chocobo. We’ve seen some great cards from Square Enix over the years and this is definitely one of them. What would Christmas be without chocobos anyway?
Mind of Mencia: Video Game Hell - Comedy Central

If there is such a thing as video game hell, I’m sure the above video is pretty close to reality. 2007 was a year of great videos, particularly ones poking fun at the world of video games. We look forward to 2008 and all of the insanity it will include. Check out Spike TV’s website for more videos. They are quickly becoming the new YouTube.

It’s Christmas time and the game companies are sending out the Christmas cards. Every year, some really interesting cards are sent out. For 2007, I’d have to say the best I have seen is the Mass Effect Christmas card from BioWare. Of course, I already have Mass Effect, so I probably would have asked for the space hamster.
Military.com Reviews America's Army: True Soldiers

A while back, we reviewed America’s Army: True Soldiers for the Xbox 360. To be completely honest, it was one of the worst games I ever reviewed. I just stumbled across a review for the game on military.com and was slightly shocked at how great their review made the game sound. The review starts like this:

Themrock has one of the more unique art styles I have seen when it comes to video game fan art. He takes traditional game characters and makes them into more of a cartoon-like style of art. The guys at Destructoid came across this interesting Mario & Luigi piece on deviantART. I’m not sure about everyone else, but seeing Mario and Luigi brutally killed brings a strange smile to my face.
eBay User Selling Nintendo Wii For $1,983,298
Mon, 24 Dec 2007 00:23:03 +0000
The retarded Nintendo Wii eBay auctions continue. This time, an eBay seller in the U.K. is selling a Wii for US$1,983,298. Fortunately, if you purchase the item for this price, the shipping is tossed in for no extra charge. This is an obvious joke, but points out a really serious problem we have in the gaming world with the Wii craze. Consumers really need to start having a little more self-respect and stop paying insanely high prices for a console that retails for $250. Until people stop paying insanely high prices, we will continue to have issues with stores not having them on shelves.
