A sampling of some the affected people out there
Walmart seems to have maybe lost track of how many people have complained to them....I decided to help them out!
anyone who sends me pictures of your injuries as proof will be posted.
Pictures are concrete evidence if you have them, send them, or if not take them!!
" Kerry...I hope you can use these pictures.
This is after about a month
healing. I only wore these flip flops once for about 2hrs or so and
then briefly for about 1/2 hr. Trust me I went through it with you.
Mine feet didn't get to the point that yours did but I was miserable
with this for 3 wks or longer. I work for a doctors office and the
nurse here and nurse practioner recomended I use cortisone cream which I
did get a prescription and fill but that didn't work at all only made it worse."
"I still have the flip flops
that I'm sure was also purchased in April but because we also bought
groceries while we there and it was just a cheap pair of flip flops we
must have through it away. Wish I had not have done that but we did. I
have lots of witness for the fact that I really did experience this so
if I can help in anyway please let me know. R"
I only copied part of the email but you get the idea right?
Here is her email to me that accompanied this picture
"I didn't think my feet were bad enough to take pictures
of, but I thought I'd
go ahead and show you what was left. I would consider my feet
completely well right now. This picture shows my foot on July 25th.
I wore the flip flops for 10 minutes on June 30th and 10 minutes on
July 1st while in the shower. As I told you earlier, the redness,
swelling and itching kept showing up for a week after I wore the
shoes. I am so thankful that I wore them for only a few minutes and
not as long as you. I'm sure that my feet would have done the same
thing. I have never been so miserable with my feet, ever!"
My name is A... I think I bought a pair of these flip-flops in June.
I am not 100% sure of the date...but I do know that it was around the end of the school year for the kids here.
I didn't wear them a whole lot at first. When I did start wearing them my feet started to break out where the straps go over top of my feet.
I thought that I may have come in contact with something that didn't like my skin. I never thought that it was to do with my flip flops!
My feet started to "break out" about 3 weeks ago now....today is the 26th of July.....and they itch like crazy!!!!
I thought the itching was because my feet were healing. Not the case!!
They actually look worse than they first did. I have taken a couple of pictures of my feet...and the flip flops....so you can see what I am talking about.
I also have a picture of the flip flops that I think are the cause of this.
They too were bought from Walmart...but they are a different color. Mine are pink with a yellow strap.
Sincerely,
A
Hello,
I too bought these flip flops. I bought mine at the beginning of June. I bought
2 pairs and the pink pair with yellow straps seem to be the ones
that have caused the reaction. I am including a picture of my feet. They are not nearly as bad as yours but still itch and kinda burn.
They have been like this for about 2 weeks now . They are somewhat better
after putting a cortizone cream on them for about a week but not well yet.
N
Dear boxjockey,
I was informed about your article in church tonight. I bought the same flip
flops on sale last week. My feet are also damaged the same way that your pictures
show.
I only wore the shoes for two days because I could immediately tell that something was wrong. After another four days my condition became worse.
I had to go to the doctor where I received a shot and six days of steroids. The photos that you see are after five days of medical treatment.
I hope Wal Mart takes responsibility and takes these shoes off the shelves.
Sincerely,
A flip flopped friend

I purchased the shoes at Walmart in July and have a file the size of a small phone book full of emails, complaints, doctor's diagnosis, prescriptions etc.
as well as pictures of my feet (I will be more than happy to share them with you for your website) I, unlike Kerry, wore the shoes a mere 2 hours.

Hello. I live in Virginia. I bought flip flops at Walmart in July. I have had the rash for about 3 weeks. Went to the doctor, gave me prescription cream
which I have used for one week. These pictures were taken today. Rash is
still itchy, seems to be fading some, but still aggravating.

(K's feet)
Hi,
My name is K and I had the same problem you did!!! The first time it happened
was the morning after I had a pedicure from the WalMart nail salon here
I wore flip flops to the pedicure and the next morning I woke up with the rash on my feet in the shape of the V strap. A week later I went to the doctor,
figuring it was an allergic reaction to the chemicals in the solutions they used on my feet for the pedicure and the latex in the flip flops.
I have worn latex gloves for my job and have never had a problem with latex before, but I thought maybe the chemicals from the pedicure produced the reaction.
I went to the Dr and she said she agreed, it was a reaction to both, the latex and the pedicure solutions. I contacted Wal Mart after my Dr appt and they told me that they
don't have anything to do with the Nail Salon, so I had to contact the Home Office of the Nail Salon. They told me I could go to the salon and ask for a list of ingredients in the products they use,
but I never did. The problem cleared up with the antifungal cream and 4 weeks later, last Saturday, the rash was gone. THEN............ I wore the flip flops for 15 minutes on Sunday
to water the flowers outside and as soon as I came in to the house, the rash was back again, only this time it was blistery and VERY swollen.
I went to the Dr's on Tuesday and he put me on Prednisone this time. I also went to Wal Mart and filed a formal written complaint and they contacted the manufacturer of the flip flops in
Hong Kong for me. I took photos of my feet and will send you one when I get
home from work today.
Thanks for your web site, you are the only other person I can find on the
internet that has had the same problem.
K
These are just added as of September 9 2007
My name is R, I'm from Buffalo, NY. And you have my feet! Well, at least what
they looked like. My mother called me and said she saw my feet on the 700
Club and the doctors were wrong.
So I had to check you out for myself.
Last summer (June 2006) I bought a black pair of plastic strap flip flops
from (insert drum roll here) WalMart.
Within days of wearing them I broke out in a rash. It was just where the strap was on my feet. It was raised, bumpy, and very itchy with some burning.
I stopped wearing the flip flops and called my doctor. He sent me to a specialist, who said I was having an allergic reaction the the rubber. All he wanted me to do was lotion up my feet.
It wasn't until mid September, so about three and a half months, that my
feet were back to normal. I ended up using Ucerin Cream for Dry Skin.
So the point to this little e-mail is to let you know, the ugly parts will
go away! Every once in a while the red bumps come back with the itch. But
I haven't had the same reaction.
However, I don't wear plastic anything on my feet anymore. Included are pics of how my feet look today. A permanent tan line all year round.
And some scars on my toes, but otherwise normal looking feet. So yes there
is a light at the end of the tunnel for you and your feet.
Good Luck, R
i just heard on the news today about this flip flop thing about chemical burns. well the past two weeks i couldnt figure out what was going on with my feet. my story is about exactly like yours...i have
the exact flip flops i bought at walmart sometime in late june or early july not sure but after going to the beach in mid august i began noticing red marks on the top of my feet,
then it started getting redder then blistering, now its really red or almost purple. really throbbing and sore. I went to Walmart and filled out an incident report, they took pictures of my
feet and flip flops. plus i gave them a copy of your story, they are suppose
to get back to me. Any suggestions on what to do?? i attached some photos
of my feet and flip flops.

Hello
I had the exact same problem as you with the EXACT same flip flops!! I didn't
know what pair I had was causing it, but after seeing your website,
I now believe those were the ones. Mine were orange and blue though! I did go to the doctors and I got a prescription right off the bat, so the damage wasn't entirely as bad as yours,
but I did take a picture for some reason at the beginning. I am going to attach it. I don't know what I could do to possibly help you, but would l be willing
to help whatever way I can. If you have any other questions, just ask!

I just received an e-mail about your foot condition. I was given the pink flip flops with yellow straps for Mother's Day. I wore them one day and 48 hours later I broke out. I went to the
dermatologist twice(the itching would keep me up at night). She told me I had "contact dermatitis". In this case it is caused by an allergic reaction to the chemicals used in making the dye for the shoes.
I went to WEBMD and read up on contact dermatitis. It is very informative. I had to use prescription strength cortisone creams and Aveeno baths helped, too.
I am attaching 2 pictures during the latter stages. I covered my feet in Vaseoline because it made them not itch as much. It has been 8 weeks and I still have slight discoloration on my feet.
Hope you see an improvement in yours daily.

HELLO MY NAME IS V AND IAM FROM CALIOFORIA. I DIDNT KNOW WHAT IT WAS UNTILL
MY MOTHER TOLD ME IF I HAD HEARD
ABOUT THIS STORY BECAUSE OF WHAT WAS GOING ON WITH MY FEET, I HAVE THE YELLOW AND PINK SANDLES...
SO I LOOKED IT UP ON THE INTERNET..AND FOUND THIOS EMAIL...I HAVE PICTURES..I DONT KNOW WHAT TO DO PLEASE HELP.....PLEASE GET BACK TO ME.....
Hi, just looked at your site about your feet, sure sorry you are going through this. I just wanted to let you know I too have some burns on my feet that are from some
Wal-Mart brand no boundaries foam sandal type shoes also made in China that I got. I wanted to ask you did you wear these flip flops and get your feet wet while wearing them>
If so this may have helped cause the burns. Just a thought as the shoes I got were fine until I started getting them wet and kept walking in them doing some watering of my yard etc.
I didn't have the extreme problem you have but have about a 2 inch long area on right foot and also spots on left foot in same area that is at the arch of foot off to inside part of that area where the
shoes rubbed my feet more so while wet than when dry. Also if I wear flip flops and get them wet I will react right at the 2 toes joining area on top.
As long as I don't wear them and get them wet and stay in them it will be ok. I never reacted like your feet but know it must be very painful. You will probably find that any wearing
of thongs will aggravate your feet from now on.
I hope you go after them with your lawyer big time. Wish I had seen your site
sooner so I could have sent you pictures of what mine looked like for about
a week,
now they are still red and scaly feeling and tough but they didn't blister
up just looked like a burn and very tender with some tough weird scabbing.
Here are some pictures 2 weeks after the fact. You would have had to see them
when they were super red that lasted about 5 days. Plus I treated them with
a RX steroid cream I had on hand right at the beginning so that helped also.
Needless to say I am not wearing those shoes anymore.
Hope your feet heal and recover from the chemical type burn.
Sincerely D in Texas
Another short email
This is so crazy here are pics of my feet sorry they are ugly but here are the flip flops too
Thanks for sharing your story. Thought I was the only one in the world that
this happened to. Now I know I'm not. I've worn these flip flops all summer
and never had a problem until
August 7, 2007 when I wore the orange and blue ones. It started as what I thought was a heat rash and quickly progressed like yours did. I am attaching a pic to share with you. I'm going to
WalMart today to fill out a form. I hope something gets done about this
terrible problem. What else should I do???? Thanks again for sharing your
story!

Hi, Just joining in to show my feet also. I purchased the same shoes, picture
of them attached
I stopped wearing them but you can see the problem begining. Does it keep
going on even after you
stop wearing them. Please provide me with any info you might have. thanks,

Hello Kerry,
I am a Penn State student. I purchased the pink flip flops with yellow
straps and daisies when I was moving in this fall to use in the dorm
showers. Obviously, I was happy to pay the low price since I would only be
using the flip flops in the shower, ironically, to prevent foot problems.
Today is exactly four weeks since I bought and started wearing the flip
flops once a day in the shower. Yesterday morning I noticed that my feet
were becoming red, inflamed, blistered and itchy underneath the straps while
I was in the shower and immediately stopped wearing them. Initially, I
thought I had developed some type of latex allergy, but since I have never
had any such allergy and am around other latex products fairly often, I
doubted it. A friend of mine told me about your story and directed me to the
website. What I find infuriating is Walmart's reaction. With full knowledge
of the dangers of these shoes, they decided the best solution was to put
them on clearance so that they would be bought out before consumers were
adequately warned about them. I personally feel that I have been taken
advantage of, and I hope very much that this matter will be pursued further.
I have a doctor's appointment on Friday with University Health Services, and
plan to file my complaint with the State College Walmart shortly thereafter.
I am attaching a picture, but the poor photo quality really plays down the
extent of the damage.
Hi, My name is A and I too have been affected from flip flops bought at Wal-Mart.
At first they didn't bother me but then I started noticing a burning between
my toes
and a red patch and then a rash where the straps went. It got extremely itchy and i started scratching it and it broke open and bled. I stopped wearing them and the rash is getting better but is still itchy
and burny. My son told me he heard something on the news about people being allergic to flip flops but I thought he was fibbing. I guess he wasn't. I have not seen a doctor but I did treat the rash
with cortizone and it did not help. I would be interested in any class action information. I have attached pictures. In these photos the rash is beginning to heal, it was much worse!
Hi, I'm writing to tell you my wife had the same problem, from
shoes identical to yours, which she got on clearance for $1 from
Walmart in August. She's one week in to the symptoms, which are still
getting worse. We're hoping to avert some of the pain that you've
experienced, but so far don't have anything beyond cortisone and
aloe-vera; it really appears to be a chemical burn, whether it be
from the sandal-mold 'releasant' substance or from the thong material
itself (have y'all gotten any relevant info from Fuqing YongChao?).
Do you know of any way to improve the symptoms? We're not
really interested in lawsuits, but just want to minimize the pain
and discomfort. I hope it's going well for you.
thanks,
M +E +K
Hi Kerry
Thanks for all the help. I did fill out that form from the link you had to
the US Consumer Product Safety Commission.
I went to Wal-mart tonight after work and asked to fill out a incendent
report. They asked why, I told them, about the re-call and they said they
didn't know nothing about it. He said he could not find the form, but gave
me customer statement form to fill out. He said if they have any questions
they will contact me. He did sign it and put the store number on it.
He then told me that they only sell the product. I had to get ahold of the
Manafaturer. Funny I think. They should be responsible for what they sell.
How the heck do you know who the Mfg is when you buy a $2.44 flip flop
and throw away the tags. As of right now I feel that my feet are disfigured,
I will never wear
sandles cause of these marks I have, again. don't want this to just drop.
I think we need a good explanation on this......I just hope that these marks
go away. If not, I am going to try to do something about this.

Subject: Wal-mart
Hi there!
My mother called me today asking if I had released photos of my feet on
the internet.. I was like, WHAT!?! She said that she heard that someone
who bought Wal-mart flip flops had posted a website and that she thought
it was me since I've had the SAME PROBLEM too!!
My mother bought the flip flops for me in August 2007 from WalMart in
Newark, CA. She gave them to me on September 2nd and I wore them that
night for only about an hour while sitting down. The next day, my feet
were very itchy and red, the redness in the shape of the flip flop
straps. I would send you the photos, but I don't want to give them to
anyone right now until my case has been settled. I didn't go to work
that entire week because I couldn't walk! My feet hurt so bad that I
kept them in an ice bucket. I went to the doctor's on Wednesday and my
doctor told me I had an allergic reaction to rubber. I've never had
problems with rubber before! She gave me a steroid ointment that made
it worse. I stopped using that and started putting Aloe on it and it felt
better and started to go away. Today I feel no itching or anything.. and there
are prominent healing scars.
(at the back of my mind I knew it was a chemical thing and not a rubber reaction)
Hello,
Recently we saw your articles on the web, and heard of this recent recall
of the wal mart sandals. Here are just a few pictures of the way my feet look
after just 4 weeks.
Looks as though wal-mart is in for a big one. That is just absurd they would
refer you to China to take care of this problem that is clearly there's.
Sincerely,
V
and I bought two pair of flip flops from Walmart in April 2007. I wore them all summer long and had no allergic reaction. But starting about 2-3 weeks ago
I've had horrible marks across my feet where the straps were. Over time the rash/burn has become worse. I still have both pair of shoes, I do
have the same marks as shown in your photos.
Hello. I live in Virginia. I bought flip flops at Walmart in July. I have
had the rash for about 3 weeks. Went to the doctor, gave me prescription cream
which I have used for one week.
These pictures were taken today. Rash is still itchy, seems to be fading
some, but still aggravating.

I noticed 2 weeks ago I had this red irritation thought it was chiggers so I thought surely by now that my feet would clear up. Now I have these chemical burns from these wal mart sun daisy flip flops
I bought. I am so irritated and I can't even wear shoes. Should I go to the doctor anything over the counter I can do to clear up my feet. Are you purchasing and legal action.
When I called my walmart in Gardner kansas they played dum.
HERE ARE A SOME OF THE EMAILS WITH NO PICTURES
"I bought flip flops from wal-mart around april mine were the solid colored ones and my feet started itching really bad and had blisters
and sores in between my toes and a little on the tops of my feet that look like yours My feet still have blisters and scabs and im not real sure what to do.
i started thinking it was the flip flops but i wasnt sure but i realized that my feet really bother me when i put them on my toes were swollen but it has gone down and they still itch horribly.
They are still selling them in stores.
Thank you"
H
"Hey i had a simular issue with the same flip flops (the Camo style)
I bought mine in right around july 5th or 6th
my burns were no where near as severe as your case.
i got rid of mine after 5 days
Good luck"
K
"I had purchased a pair to go swiming; (all the lakes are filled
with zebra mussels) wore them for about hour
before the straps broke and rendered them non-wearable.
The next day I noticed how the top of my feet were brite red, with
a darker red band... right where the straps were. I had signed this off
to a sunburn, and joked for the next few days about the last place
one could get sun burn.
I threw out the flip-flops."
C
"But you know what type of
sandals these were? Oh yes the same ones you bought, except they had a green
strap and blue sole with flowers. I checked and re-checked. Same type
indeed. I stopped wearing thongs for awhile and these wal mart sandals were
the first I had worn for about 3months. At first I thought maybe there too
small but my toes and ankles fit snug on the sandal. I had an almost
identical rash from them (I also am not allergic to latex or anything for
that matter)......"

My name is Cxxxx I'm from the north. I too have the same exact pair of
flip
flops. In fact I have a few in different colors. My feet were no where near
as bad as yours and I don't have pictures. But I wanted to tell you your
not
crazy. I only wore mine for a few hours noticed the irritation
and didn't"t wear them after that. I bought my pair in july for a trip
to
myrtle beach, so I think it"s safe to say the April batch is not the
only
bad batch. I bandaged my feet applied neosporin and nursed my wounds for
a
while. I'm a firefighter and EMT for my local fire department, so I don"t
have to tell you putting on my fire boots was pure torture. I am so sorry
for you pain and aggravation with this ordeal for you.
I'll do anything to help. All I have is my word and about 15
eye witnesses

My name is Mxxx. I recieved these exact same flip flops as a gift. They
are identical to yours.
Interestingly enough I wore these flip flops one time and they were so painful
that I took them off and haven't worn them since.
However, after wearing them for just a few hours I formed a scab in between my big toe and my second toe (where the rubber portion is attachd to the foam bottom).
What I thought was weired was that this scab wasn't like a blister that you get from wearing new shoes. It is fairly small and hasn't bothered me that bad but it was bad
enough that I couldn't wear any of my other flip flops for about two weeks
now. It is now scaley and going away, THANK YOU JESUS!
If you need me to write a letter to anyone I will be happy to do so. I can
also include a picture of the flip flops if you would like.
Unfortunatly, even if I tried to take a picture of what is left of my scab
I do not think that you would be able to see it any longer.
Please let me know what I can do to help,
M
My daughters always buy me a pair of slippers for Mothers Day (family
tradition). I now take a wide but this year they did not have any so
they got me a pair of these very same flip flops that are causing
people trouble. Me included. About 10 days ago I noticed a red mark
like those posted on your page. Needless to say I am planning on
stopping wearing them. I just hope that I have stopped wearing them
in time. It is only on one foot and a very little spot on the
other. I am so glad I saw the post on a web site called "Pattern Review".
Is there any thing I should do.

Hello my Name is J, I Live in Ky and i also purchased 2 pairs of flipflops 1 pair of Aug 5 2007 and another pair on Aug 7 2007
and they were both the same kind and color of your flip flops, and i noticed after a few days of wearing them i started breakout, I went to the doctor on August 9th 2007
and they told me that had recived Chemical Burns from the flip flops, and on Aug 10 2007 my feet got worse i went to the ER and they ask me why my feet were black
and blue and why it looked like i had flip flops on when i didnt have no shoes on. they diagnosed me as having a reaction to the flip flops. In 3 weeks i have been to
the doctor 3 times, ER 1 time and Physical Therapy 6 times
It seems my feet are getting worse , my doctor told me to go to Walmart and file a report, and they took my Name and Number and told me that they would contact me and
to this day they still havent called, they wouldnt even let me file a report. I also told them they needed to take them off the shelves but they wouldn't.
How are you getting any responses from Walmart? Can you give me any help?
My mother recieved your e-mail about the flip flops a few days ago...the minute she opened it she was like oh my god that looks exactly like my daughters feet,I live in Kemp,Tx and my name is
T.....the pictures you took on june 28th and July 1st are what my feet look like now...they itch, burn and they tingle....i went to the doctors office and they said it was an undetermined rash and they
prescribed my lotrim(streiod cream)....the only thing that was different with my flip flops is that the strap is yellow. I have made a report to the Consumer Protection Agency and the Federal
Trade Commission. I contacted the Wal-Mart I bought the shoes from and the manager told me "what the hell do you want me to do about it?" I went to Wal-Mart and filed the Product Liability Form.
Where do I go from here? What do I need to do? I'm trying to figure out
which direction to go from here. Can you help me?
I can send you via email pictures of my feet.
Here is my phone number in case you want to
contact me. XXX-XXX-XXXX
The store I bought the shoes at was Gun Barrell City, Texas and they are
still on the shelf as the manager would not listen to me. I bought a pair
for my 4 year old daughter but thankfully she
didn't wear them long enough to have any side effects. I wore mine for 3 to 4 weeks off and on.
Hi my name is L, I bought my flip flops at the end of April to wear to Miami, after I wore them the next day my feet were itching really bad and I developed blisters
on my feet like they had been burned. I still have marks on them now like scars. That happened in April it is now August and the marks have not went away.
I thought maybe my feet got sunburned the reason that happened, but now that I'm reading your story it can be the same situation. I only wore my shoes one day,
I wonder what would have happened if I would have kept wearing them.
I did the same thing only mine were the orange ones with the white flowers,
blue straps, my feet did the same thing as yours I stiil have a scar on each
of my feet.
I too went to a doctor she said it was contact genvides boy talk about itching,
blisters scabs, etc.. What do we do now
? I too had steroids, antibotics, amd ointment. I bought mine late April as
well, Barstow<Ca. Please let me know . Y
I'm not a yahoo user so I hope you get this e-mail.
I bought these exact same flip-flops. (Yellow with white flowers and pink
straps) I bought them in August for a weekend camping trip. I do not have
documented proof as
I have never purchased these kinds of flip-flops before.... I, too, chalked it up to my feet not being used to them. I wanted something cute for a camping trip...I wore them one day and got sore spots
in between my toes and on the bottom middle of my foot, where the strap pokes through to the bottom sole. I thought they gave me "blisters" as I've only worn leather sandals before.
I told myself "that's what I get for buying cheap shoes!" The bottom of my foot cleared fairly quickly but it took a week to 10 days for the stuff between my toes to clear. I thought it was strange that my
so called blister turned so "crusty". Usually a blister pops and the skin falls off, it's tender while the new soft skin heals...but I wasn't sure why it became so hard. I used several softening creams as
I, too, was in some discomfort. (Not nearly as bad as you!)
My feet are healed and I never thought anything else about it until this e-mail
was forwarded on to me. The flip-flops are still in the garage...I was going
to pitch them.
Maybe I need to bag them up as evidence for ya'! :o)
Reply when you can...thanks for being brave to share your experience.

Wanted to let you know that I bought a pair in my local Texas Walmart ...on CLEARANCE for a trip we had planned in Aug. around the 20th and when I wore them for the first time down
to the river the sides of my feet started to burn like I was developing blisters so I kicked them off went bare foot. Then later I put them back on and the same happen and just didnt wear
them for the the trip anymore thinking I really didnt want to get worse. I throwed them in my closet when I got back home, with thoughts.....I will break them in soon! I just wanted to
tell you thank you for sharing your story !
I am going to check my local store out
I wish you the best in this !

Hello,
I went boating today with the family, and was wearing my pink flowered flip
flops from Wal Mart. When relaxing at the picnic table, I noticed I was getting
a red rash and little bubbles
where the straps crossed my feet. My friend told me that there was a flip flop issue on the news and just now when I came home and looked it up, I was not happy to see the issues
with my pink flip flops!
If the rash doesn't disappear by morning, I will photo log it.
I just figured you wanted to know. I have the blue ones, and never had a problem, but these are the pink ones I bought later this summer.
Thanks,
M
Kerry,
I just wanted you to know that I bought those same yellow flip flops at a
Walmart in Troy Missouri. I'm sorry I don't remember exactly when but it was
a few months ago.
I wanted a cheap pair of flip flops to keep in my garage to slip on for quick jobs like getting the mail, moving the sprinklers...ect. Last week I noticed a rash along my feet right where the
strap of the flip flops went. It wasn't a solid red line like in your pictures, it was a bunch of little red bumps. I stopped wearing them but after a few days the bumps hadn't gone away so
I mentioned it to my husband who in turn said he remembered hearing a story about a woman having a problem with flip flops from Walmart. I did a Google search and found your story.
Imagin my surprise when I saw my yellow flip flops staring back at me! It worried me how you said you stopped wearing the shoes but the problem didn't go away but instead got worse,
so I went to the doctor today. I showed him a print out of your story but he said there was no indication on me of chemical burns. He said it looked like an allergic or fungal reaction (Yuck!)
and gave me a prescription for a cream to use. I know I haven't suffered anything close to what you have but you said you wanted to hear if anyone else has had problems with those shoes so
I thought I'd email you. I hope you are healing well and are not left with
any permanent scars. Here is my email address:
Take Care,
HG
I just e-mailed you through yahoo answers about the flip flops with the flowers. I just have what seems to be a rash on my feet right now that itches and burns,
but I have also been kind of sick to my stomach for the last few weeks. I have had diarrhea and felt dizzy every so often, usually when standing up.
This may be totally unrelated and a little gross, but I just thought I would ask if you had any of these symptoms. I can't think of any other reason I would be feeling this way.
I kept the flip flops and have been taking pictures of my feet and the flip flops. I emailed you before I finished reading all the way down your page, but I did file a report on the link you provided.
Do I need to contact Wal-Mart also? I purchased mine from a store in Burleson
Texas.
A
I wish I had thought to take pictures. Mine are not this color, but they were bought in approx the same time frame. I only wore mine for a few hours one day and the next morning I had red
marks similiar to yours, but no where near as bad. I didn't think much of it, also thought that they were tight or just rubbing. The next morning it was sore and the morning or two after that it started
to peel, like a blister with puss in it. I put some solarcaine from Walmart on it, and cortizone 10 on it and probably a week later, the skin was flaking off and getting somewhere back to
normal. I never thought there would be something wrong with the shoes. I stopped wearing them because I lost one in the lake that day. All this happened in late April or early May.
I feel terrible now. If I had thought to check into it, I might have been
able to save others from this issue. Keep up the good work. Don't let it go.
M
Hi, saw this posing on Paulding.com. I live in Dallas, GA and I also bought some flipflops at the local Walmart here and like you my feet looked exactly like yours after only having them
on for two hours. They did have a very strong rubber odor so I assumed I am very sensitive to the materials used. I put them in my garage but did not bother taking them back to Walmart because
I did not keep the receipt & figured I don't need the aggravation of dealing with an employee at Walmart over a $2 pair of shoes. But now since there are severa;l people affected by this I
think something is wrong and they should not be sold any longer. I hope this helps you. If you have any questions, please contact me.
K
I bought a pair in May that are pink with white flowers and have yellow straps. After wearing them for 15 minutes I notice my feet were itching and uncomfortable.
The second time I wore them again for less than 20 minutes, I had to take them off because they hurt my feet. At the time I thought they were itching but it could have been more like a burn.
I know when I got home I put on some hydrocortisone cream and had to use it for several days. I too bought the shoes from Wal-Mart. I didn't pay a lot of attention to it. I thought I had
a sunburn or had caught something from the pool.
G
Hi I am not sure if I contacted the right person if not I am so sorry. But I wanted to tell you of my problem with Wal Mart flip flops. I bought them for the same reason every one else did. Price.
I got a very bad rash but no way near as bad as yours. (I am so sorry) My husband blamed it on heat but it did not go away. my only other guess was the shoes. My rash is gone now but I still have
the flip flops. This happened to me way back in June. I just wanted to let you know that you were not alone. One thing that kind of helped the rash feel better was a aloe vera 100% gel. made by
Fruit of the Earth. How ironic you can buy it at walmart. Well I hope you
feel better soon.
T
I have had the same problem as you (although not as severe). I bought a pair of pure blue ones and began getting the redness and blistering in just a few days.
I too thought it was probably due to just getting used to a new pair and that the redness and blistering was coming from the straps rubbing on my feet. I figured that after they were broken in,
everything would be fine. I had a pair of flip flops from The Gap that looked very similar to the ones I got at Wal-Mart and just loved them. When a strap broke on one of them I decided to
see if Wal-Mart had anything similar to the ones I got at The Gap. Obviously the ones that I got at Wal-Mart must have been made out of a completely different material. I thought it was
a case of athletes foot at first, but the blistering was much too severe for that. I dont have the receipt but would guess that I purchased them in late July or early August. Like you,
I think I paid like $2.88, $2.44 or something like that. Its not about the money (as they were cheap), but more of a medical issue.
Let me know if you receive my email.
Thanks and good luck.
J
What kind of cream and antibiotics did your doctor give u its important to me Im having the same problem
RT
The pictures of your feet look much the same as mine, except yours are worse, but cover a smaller area. I don't wear flip-flops because they are uncomfortable, I wear sandals instead.
The problem didn't show itself until I had worn them and gotten them wet several times. The sandals are leather uppers, with straps that cover the toes and the top of the foot at the arch.
Those contact points are the only areas affected.(red, scaly, itchy) The sandals
were obviously to blame, so I stopped wearing them and my feet are clearing
up. I bought the sandals at Wal-Mart.
Wal-Mart has numerous stores in red China (63?), so don't expect them to take
any action that might upset the Chinese and the profits to be had by keeping
them happy.
We see on the news that the Chinese provide us with products laced with poison for ourselves and our pets, and get upset if we complain.(sound familiar?) I don't know if the reaction to your
concern would have been better if you had never worked for Wal-Mart. To them, you are just another disgruntled former employee, a traitor to the Wal-Mart family.
With a turnover rate of more than 100% a year at some stores, you've joined a very large club. The CEO of Wal-Mart said in an interview that the 3000 lawsuits on his desk daily are
business as usual. The "windmill" you have chosen to tilt with
is huge, a "dragon" if ever there was one. Good luck!
Jr. (also a member of the club)
Hello,
I received your email today. I had the same thing happen to me in June of this year. I purchased a pair of flip flops from Wal-Mart in Georgia. They did not have flowers but they were lime
green rubber thongs. I purchased them for the shower in the hotel that I was staying at. My foot began getting irritated and a dark area started to show where the thongs were.
Then came the itching and burning sensation. Since I new this was unusual, I stopped wearing the flip flops because that was the only new or different thing that I wore recently. I have plenty
of flip flops but none bothered me.
About three weeks after I stopped wearing them, the area cleared some. It did peel and moisture was coming out of the area. Last week, I traveled to Virginia for a vacation and not thinking,
I took the same flip flops for the shower and walked around the hotel room in them and to the pool, now I have a black mark on my foot, that I am going to have checked out this week.
I knew there was something wrong with those flip flops. I started to go to the doctors the first time but since I stopped wearing them and they were itching and peeling,
I figured, that was a sign of them healing.
Thanks for your information. A lot of people may not be responding but there is definitely awareness out there now.
TM
Hello
I had the exact same problem as you with the EXACT same flip flops!! I didn't
know what pair I had was causing it, but after seeing your website, I now
believe those were the ones.
Mine were orange and blue though! I did go to the doctors and I got a prescription right off the bat, so the damage wasn't entirely as bad as yours, but I did take a picture for some reason at
the beginning. I am going to attach it. I don't know what I could do to
possibly help you, but would l be willing to help whatever way I can. If you
have any other questions, just ask!
S
I;m a guy but i had flip flops that had straps identical to the ones in
your picture. I had the same rash on my feet. It itched and burned
like mad hell. I ended up throwing out the flip flops because wearing
them for only a matter of minutes would cause this rash. I thought i
was the only one but someone needs to do something about this.
I saw your web page about the Wal-Mart flip flops. My wife had the same problem with her feet after wearing her flip flops. We thought it was poison ivy. After it started to go
away, she washed her flip flops, thinking she could get rid of the poison ivy on the shoes. After wearing the shoes again, the burn came back. She threw the shoes away and hasn't had the
problem again. No telling how many people have been affected by this.
Good luck,
M
Hi,
I had the same experience with the flip flops I bought here in
Hawaii. They were black with "locals" written on the clear plastic
straps. Similar burn marks and itchyness. I thought it was because my
feet are sun sensitive, that it was sunburn....but then when the
marks so clearly were directly from the strap marks I threw them away
in disgust. Sorry (for me and for a bigger case) no pictures.
I used aloe vera direct from a plant to heal.

Hello, I saw your story and pics about your wal mart flip flops......I have the same ones, I bought them in May to wear when I went camping because they were cheapies, and they made my
feet very sore like yours, but not nearly as bad, when my feet started to hurt, especially between my toes I took them off, I had them off and on constantly. My husband and I went out of town again
this last weekend and I took them to wear to walk to the pool in the hotel and just putting them on for a few minutes hurt me between my toes, my feet never looked like yours tho at all.
I hope you can get to the bottom of this, I hope they take those stupid
shoes off the shelves very soon, I know I will be pitching mine in the trash
can.
K
How Funny is that I had the exact same thing happen to me but my feet didn't get that bad. I put on my pair of navy blue flip flops to go to the store and when I had them on for maybe
5 min. or so my feet started itching but I couldn't toake them off because I was outside, but when I made it home within 15 minutes of having the shoes on I took them off and I had a thick blister
on the top of my feet where the straps are at. And yes it burned and itch really bad but I threw the shoes in the garbage immediatly because I never had this problem before with any flip flops
I wore them from Old Navy all the time but this pair and one more pair I
brought from walmart
MH
Hi,
I had the same blistering, itching sores after wearing a pair of cheap pink
flip flops from Walmart. I got them all around the flip flop "line"
between my toes where the rubber goes
and under my toes on either side. Unfortunately I did not take a picture when I had the offending rash, but my feet are still peeling.
I wore them for about 4 days off and on and ended up with red blisters that hurt
and itched like crazy. I thought it was heat rash. I've still got the flip flops if you want them for testing. Please add me to your mailing list to keep up to date on where your case stands.
I'm grateful my feet didn't end up like yours, but I'm very sorry that you've
been through such misery. I hope your feet are all better soon.
~G
Hey i had a simular issue with the same flip flops (the Camo style)
I bought mine in right around july 5th or 6th
my burns were no where near as severe as your case.
i got rid of mine after 5 days
Good luck
K
my wife bought the same flip flops at wallmart in Winchester VA
She had the same problem
Her feet have healed but you can still see the marks like you were
showing
You can call us at
I don't have any pics, documantation, or anything. But I too had a problem with them. I wore them for like an hour, noticed my feet were hurting real bad. Took them off,
seen the marks that were starting to form. Scratched it and tried lotioning it for about an hour. Took a shower and washed them real good. Delt with the pain for a couple days, and all was fine.
Threw the shoes in the dumpster curseing at them. It was the third time I had worn the shoes. The first two times was just for like five or ten min to run to the store. Noticed some itching then,
but figured maybe my feet were sweaty or something. But I did start to notice the marks when I wore them for an hour. I have pale skin (and feet) so maybe thats why I noticed it right then.
It was the begining of nice weather around here, hadn't really worn sandels much yet so the feet couldn't have gotten any sun. I bought mine early may. started wearing them in about mid may.
threw them in the dumpster early june. Hopefully something good will come out of this or be settled out of all this for you. Have you applyed for a medical card? if not, go to the food stamp office
(job and family services) and apply for one. You said your poor, so you might as well try. Then you'll have incurance.
Hi i just wanted to email you to tell you I think that I have the same problem. I bought a pair of rubber flip flops from walmart about a month ago
So yesterday I took my 5 year old daughter to a local water park and wore the rubber flip flops only for the second time.
I only wore the shoes when i was walking around the park on the cement and i would take them off when i would get into the water.
Well by the end of the day I was swimming and both of my feet starting itching uncontrollably. The first thing that I did was scratch them and then I looked at them.
I did not see anything wrong. By the time that we left the water park I noticed that both of my feet were swollen and that they were red only in the area where the flip flops had touched my feet.
I showed them to my mother and husband and they both said that I probably got some type of infection or something maybe from the chlorine in the water.
I came to work today wearing sandals but have been able to wear them because they irritate my feet terribly. These are not the same ones I had on yesterday but they are hitting in the same place.
I decided to look on the internet for what to do about my problem and I came upon your sight. I feaked out. I have called and have an appointment with my doctor tomorrow at 8:45.
I am going to take your information with pictures and all and show him this. I do not have the receipt or tags for the shoes
but I still have the shoes and I know that they came from walmart and look just like yours except mine are all black.
My oldest son bought 2 different pairs of the camo flip flops from Wal Mart and he had a similar reaction to them as you did except not quite as bad.
He got the blisters and his feet were red and peeling. A nurse who saw his feet when he was at work also thought it was a reaction to the latex but after seeing the pics of your feet I know it wasn't.
His feet got so bad that he couldn't wear his tennis shoes for any length of time. He wound up spending more money on a pair of flip flops without the rubber on them because we all thought he had
developed an allergy to latex. I now wish we had taken pics of his feet. I don't remember when he bought them for sure but I do know it was before July. It took him a long time to finally heal up.
Thank God he doesn't have any scars.
Just wanted to let you know about his experience.

hi, my name is j. i'm 23 and live in burlington, wi. i just came across your page about the chemical burns from walmart flip flops. about 2 or 3 weeks ago i noticed that i had some
blisters on the tops of my feet wear my flip flops lie. i thought it was from the humidity and the rubber rubbing on my feet. when it started getting worse i thought maybe it was a fungus or something.
so i looked up on the internet "foot fungus from flip flops" and i saw your page and just about FREAKED OUT!!! i have the SAME flipflops as the ones in your picture yellow and pink
with the white flowers. so tonight i think i will head on over to walmart a fill out a complaint. the blisters are still small, but they kinda hurt. what should i do about it? is there something i can wash
them with or do i HAVE to go to a doctor?? please let me know.
~j
I have a pair and it did this to one foot, really hurts. Never dreamed it was the rubber...I cant believe this done this to your feet.
.Bless your heart, I know that must of hurt so bad....Mine did too, but nothing like yours......I hope you can do something about this...we pay too much money for theses products and especially
spend so much at WMart. Your so lucky you didnt have you feet amputated.
I would seek an attorney... Good Luck and if there is anything I can do let
me know.

Hello,
About a month ago I bought a pair of pink flip flops from Wal-Mart and about
a week ago I got this out break on One foot where the thong strap would go.
At first I thought that It might have been athletes foot but I saw this
on the news and thought that maybe I should check this out. I do hope that
you get back with me.
Thank you so much,
J
This is not an allergic reaction, walmart people, are you reading this?
This is NOT an allergic reaction if it is on ONE foot and here are TWO emails saying this.
i had a pair of the yellow flops. I take a lot of meds and i thought maybe i was having a reaction to something. my daughter had a pair of blue ones.
I started having itching, then blisters and a lot of discomfort. I finally figured out that the flops were doing this too me I had the problem for over 6 weeks. tried everything to stop the pain and itching.
My daughter said to throw them away and i did. Now i wish i had kept them and took pics of my feet. They still itch and have some scaring on them. Now i love to wear flops and now i am
scared to try to again. i did get some leather one from walmart and i am ok with them Thanks for the story i hope everyone will listen and do something
P from Illinois
have more like a rash on my feet from those stupid flip flops. i am sorry but i cant remember when exactly i bought mine but i defintely got them at walmart. they are the blue ones
with the yellow flowers. i have the lines just like you do on my feet, only where the flip flop would go. but now i have what looks like a rash and it itches like a yeast infection,
that's what i told my mom last night at church. lol its not going away or getting better. to make matters worse, i scratched it last night at church. now i am kinda scared after looking at your feet.
sorry. i am afraid mine might get worse. i have diabetes so that scares me even more. what in the world is a girl to do?

I happened to buy the blue & green one's had to go to the Dr. to get a
steroid injection and a z-pk of antibiotics, this is grose & something
needs to be done about it, my feet still are scarred
from this & I am hoping that the injection and anitibiotics have taken care of this but my feet looked just like this in the beginning stages.
SA
I just read an article about these flip flops yesterday, and nearly fell out of my chair. I had the same reaction, nothing as severe as yours, but severe enough that
I was uncomfortable for 4-5 weeks and still have the darkened outline of the straps on the tops of my feet. The first time I had it, I thought I had gotten into poison ivy, it blistered
and itched terribly. But, I thought it was strange that it was only where the pink straps were (by the way, I had the same yellow flip flops with white daisies and pink straps).
So I didnt wear the flops for a couple of weeks, then made the mistake of slipping them on one day to go outside and presto that same rash appeared again.
This time it was worse and I remember telling my husband it looked like my foot was burned. I threw the flip flops in the closet with the intention of throwing them away, but have yet to do so.
Once my feet began to heel, they peeled terribly, just like from a severe sunburn. Had I thought, I would have taken pictures early on in the rash, but Ive taken pictures now which capture
the darkened skin on the tops of my feet, which I pray are not permanent. Well, I want to add that I hope your feet are healing nicely, and let you know that I will continue to watch for further
developments about this story. My husband suggested I should tell our local Wal-mart what happened, but from your and others stories about their lack of concern, I figured, why bother.
Hes going to contact the South Dakota Consumer Protection Agency branch in Sioux Falls and see what, if anything, they have to say. Continued good health, and please feel free to include my
experience for future reference, if needed. Thanks,
MM
I love flip flops, and tend to buy multiples at a time. I too purchased flip flips at Walmart in the early spring but of course it was still cold outside so I didnt wear the shoes until the end of May.
I purchased a yellow & blue pair, a red and blue pair, a pink and yellow pair and a solid black pair. For less than $3.00 a pair I though I was getting a bargain. I wore the black pair out to the movies
and dinner and buy the time I got home I had the same marks on my feet! The redness turned very puffy, began to blister, and it would not go away until I put a medicated cream on my feet.
I thought I must have had some random allergy to something in the flip flop but I had no idea others had experienced the same problem until I saw a report on Fox 29 in Philadelphia last night.
I will NEVER buy shoes at Walmart again! I really wish I had kept the receipts. I think a couple pairs of the shoes still have tags on them.

My name is L and I just wanted to let you know that I have had the same problem with my feet. I noticed the red marks around the first weekend in August and couldn't figure out why
the marks stayed around on my feet, at that time they did not hurt at all. But around 3 weeks later they started swelling and itching. I would be up for hours at night with the awful itch. It got to
where I couldn't wear shoes for the pain. Anything rubbing up against my feet was terrible and just walking itself was painful. I had no idea what was going on, everyone I worked with and even my
Mom (who is a nurse) couldn't figure out what it was. I didn't go to a doctor (even though I should have) I just kept putting ointment on them to help with the itch. Eventually they started blistering up
and then started scabbing over. Now they are peeling and getting somewhat better. I didn't take pictures through the worse of it but I will take some now to have documentation of the whole event.
I guess in the end my symptoms have been around now for 6 weeks. I am glad to know what was actually wrong with me, there for awhile I thought something was wrong with just me.
If you need to contact me you can do so
Thanks for your story.

HI, My name is S and I bought the blue and orange ones at the beginning of the summer. I havent had a reaction like yours, which I am hoping is feeling better for you.
I go what I thought was a blister. It wasn't every big but it burned and made shoes painful. It took 3 weeks for this dime size blister to go away. I have a permanant discoloration where this was.
I have never had a blister that has discolored my skin.
Please keep us all updated to your status, we are all concerned for you.

Hello,
I purchased the same flip flops right before summer, mine cost $2.44 and are
orange with white flowers and blue straps. I just started recieving a rash
about 2 weeks ago and it is only about
1 1/2 inch long. Thank you soooooo much for putting your website out or else
I wouldnt have known i will NEVER wear them agian!
thanks
CW
I had a similar reaction, but much less severe then yours. I just assume I was allergic to the plastic the flip flops were made of. I purchased 2 pairs at Walmart, but mine were the plain bright colored ones
- a teal blue pair, and a lime green pair. They are the same brand as yours though. I had the "rash" under my skin and it itched like the devil. I used cream, I used athletes foot spray,
I tried an astringent. It's better than it was, but I still have some itching from time to time. But like I said, mine did not get anywhere near as bad as yours. I have some wrinkling of my skin in the shape
of the flip flops where the rash was, but as of now, that's the only lasting
visible affect I have.
I saw you on our news tonight, and was amazed. I'll definitely be following
your story and am anxious to see what happens.
T
It's been about a month and the swelling has finally gone down and only a what appears to be a burnt mark is left on both of my feet. After viewing your story on my local televison station,
I went to their web site and read your story. If appears that I have some of those same type defeated flipflops. Did you return your shoe to the store where you purchase them at as
proof that you purchased them from Wal-mart and what other measures have you taken? I'm very interested in this case, the only good things is that I didn't wear my shoes on a daily basis,
only with a specific outfit that I purchased the shoes to go with or when
I wore colors that were in the shoes.
Looking forward on hearing from you real soon.
TM
I have both of those pairs for flip flops and I purchased them from Wal-Mart in Crosby Texas. I too developed a rash in the shape of the strap. I thought it was poison ivy since
I'm very sensitive to it and we have been have trouble with it in our area.
I quit wearing the flip flops to treat and recover from "poison ivy".
This is an eye opener.

I went to Wal-Mart to fill out an incident report. I went to the customer service center. The associates said that they had not heard anything about the flip flops. I showed them my feet and told them
I couldn't believe they had not heard about it. I told them it was all over the internet and on the news. ( an e-mail from my sister is how I found out) They told me I would probably need to take it up
with the manufacturer. I told them I was told to fill out an incident report. They called a manager which took about 15 minutes to finally come up to the front. The manager had not heard about it and
told me I would need to take it up with the manufacturer also. The associate told her the manufacturer told me to file an incident report. ( I didn't tell her that but went a long with it, since the manager was reluctant to let me fill out a report) Then she called another manager, and that took another 20 minutes. When that manager came she had all of the paperwork for me to fill out, but I didn't bring me
flip flops with me. She told me she would need to take them. I told her I would go get them for her to see, but she wasn't taking them. When I got back to Wal-Mart I had to wait again
for about 15 minutes for that manager to come up to the front. She took a picture of my flip flops.
I asked her if she wanted to take a picture of my feet, but she said no. She also asked me if I had been to the doctor, I told her no
but was planning on it if they didn't get better. ( I have no sick time from work, used it all when I had my baby in June) I asked for copies of the paperwork. She gave them to me and told me the insurance company would contact me from this point on. I guess you were right about Wal-Mart not being truthful, even the three associates said they should have a recall on them. Wal-Mart seems like they
are trying to sweep this under the rug instead of letting people know about
the problem so hopefully no one else will get these burns on their feet.
TA
I do have a pair of these flip flops. If I wear them for any length of time it make a red mark on the top part of my feet. I actually thought it was caused from my feet swelling.
I do not wear them often because I am scared of my feet swelling (which
I thought was the problem). I have had nothing like the pictures show.

Hi,
My name is K and I won a trip to Cozumel, Mexico. Seeing how it was a last
minute trip my friend and I decided to go to Walmart and purchase some flip-flops(My
flip flops are neon green) . I continue to were my flip-flops because they
were so comfortable. I wore them around the house, outside, work, where ever
I could. Around in May when I moved I noticed that the bottom of my feet started
to itch real bad. I just assumed it was the water from my new house. Then I begin to notice that I had these blister all over my toes and it wouldn't stop itching. The skin begin to peel and it hurt to walk.
Being how I am not a fan of doctors I figure it was just a rash(not caused by the water, because my body wasn't itchy) and I begin to put cream on it to get rid of it. It didn't work.
Then I realized that my foot had a odor to it. Not a strong odor but if I touched my feet and smelled my hand I could smell it. Then I started to think maybe I should go to a doctor because it has been
a few months and it still hasn't gone away. I just wasn't positive what kind of doctor to go see and seeing how I don't have the internet at home I couldn't do any research. I would of went to my family
physician but I never trusted anything my doctor had to say. Anyway, I figure for the time being keep putting band-aides on it and try not to touch it. I would keep the band-aide on for most of the
day and take it off at night to let it get some air. The problem that I seem to encounter is that everytime I scratch my foot for a second( not even hard) a new blister developed. Today, I got an
email from a co-worker that show what you went through and that's when I realized that I might be going through the same thing. There are a few difference between what happen to you and me.
One my shoes are green with a neon green strap. The material on the bottom of my shoe isn't foam like your typical flip flop(not quite positive what it is). I didn't have a burn on my foot, all of my
sores are on the bottom of my foot (mostly on my toes). My mother found a doctor for me today and I will see him on Friday. Hopefully, the doctor can tell me what is going on and how to fix the problem. Unfortunately for me I am wearing the shoes today at work. I will let you know what happens.

Hi! I have just read about the problems you had with your flip flops. I just want to let you know that I had the same problem. My feet itched like crazy and I thought that I had gotten poison ivy
on my flip flops but after 2 weeks of treating them with ointment, I went and seen the doctor 8/20/2007. He said that it was a reaction and not to ever wear the flip flops again.
The thing is that I was wearing 2 pairs off and on and it wasn't until my sister sent me an e-mail with the pictures of your feet and the flip flops that I figured which pair was causing the agony -
I bought the orange with the blue strap. Anyway, the doctor gave me a steroid shot and the next day, they quit itching, then part of it scabbed over and as of today, there are still marks and if
I wear another pair of flip flops, they irrate that area. I don't have pictures to prove it , but still have the flip flops and probably the doctors notes. I don't remember when I bought them, but know
that it was early spring and the first couple times I wore them they hurt my feet so had stopped wearing them until the end of July when I would wear them outside to water the yard and
had a little area that was irritated. Then the first weekend of August, I wore them for a whole weekend and thats when they got worse and thought that I had poison ivy.
I hope that this helps you out knowing that there are more situations just
like yourself. If you have any questions, please feel free to e-mail me.
Thanks

I also had this occur to me. I actually bought both pairs you showed.
The green and the pink ones...I always buy more than one color if I am
able. I had worn mine for quite some time (at least a month or so before
I had a reaction. Within a couple of days my feet looked like yours. I
was lucky enough to get to my doctor quickly. I had the reaction on
Friday and by Monday I was at my doctor's. I even took the shoes in with
me to show how the lines matched up perfectly. He stated that I must
have had an allergic reaction... I was given a steroid cream and something
else (I don't
recall what it was), It took me over 2 months to get rid of the burns
completely. I was lucky that my burns didn't scab like yours and I have
no scars. My doctor told me to throw away the shoes. I did quickly like
he suggested. I'm happy to know that I'm not the only one who had this
happen...by this I mean it's nice to know why this occurred and it
wasn't a fluke that happen just to me.

And there are so many more it isn't even funny....I can't even keep them straight anymore.
