韓国女性グループKARAが、事実上解散することになった。韓国の所属事務所DSPメディアが1月15日、公式サイトでメンバーのパク・ギュリ（27）、ハン・スンヨン（28）、ク・ハラ（24）との専属契約が同日付で終了したと発表した。日刊スポーツなどが報じた。

サイトでは、「お互いの発展のための契約満了です。３人は、今後はソロで、幅広い分野で活動していきます。応援していただけると幸いです」などと報告した。

また、メンバーのホ・ヨンジ（２１）は同事務所に残るという。「ホ・ヨンジは今後より良い姿をお見せするため、たくさんの努力をしますし、当社もその手助けをしていきます」などとつづっている。

KARAは2007年、ギュリ、スンヨン、キム・ソンヒ（26）、チョン・ニコル（24）の4人組として韓国でデビュー。ソンヒが08年に脱退し、ハラとカン・ジヨン（21）が加入して5人組となった。腰を振る“ヒップダンス”の振り付けの「ミスター」などがヒットするなどしてトップアイドルへと成長。11年末にNHK紅白歌合戦初出場を果たすなど日本でも大ブレークした。

14年にニコルとジヨンが相次いで脱退し、一方でヨンジが加入。2015年9月に4度目の日本ツアーを行ったが、年明けから解散説が報じられていた。
