I have been receiving a lot of emails and comments from some concern netizens informing me that one of my photos was used in a presentation for the 2020 Tokyo Olympic.
I’m quite shocked to see that the photo I took at Haneda Airport 4 years ago (2011) which I posted in this blog post has been used without me knowing. It was being used in a mockup to demonstrate how the 2020 Tokyo Olympic banners with emblem will look like in Haneda Airport. You can have a look at news reported by 日テレNEWS24.
A lot of people commented on my post and some wants to know how I feel about it. Well, I really have mixed feeling about this. I’m kinda shocked but am happy too that my photo was being used in a presentation of an international event, the 2020 Tokyo Olympics. But on the other hand, the designer should asked for my permission before using my photo. It is quite unethical that he deleted the copyright watermark on my photograph.
If you look at the right side of my blog, I’ve stated that :

The photos in my blog means a lot to me. They are my precious memories of Japan. I had a lot of fond memories living in Japan. If the designer had informed me that he would like to use my photo as presentation material for Tokyo Olympic, I would have granted him the permission to use it.
