Have you noticed that accusations of corruption, bribery, vote fixing, etc. come most loudly from those people who not even believe in democratic institutions (the alt-right)?
The alt-right does not think in terms of institutions and fairness. They do not respect the rule of law, the independence of judges, the election of leaders, the peaceful transfer of power, the independence of the press -- or any systems of "political fairness" that it has taken thousands of years and extremely bloody 20th C. to build.
All they want it their society of oligarchs with King Trump. Trump (, Farage, etc.) want to be tyrants -- "Win!" -- and have everyone bow down at their throne.
Civil society gets in their way. Their main tactic to defeat it is to question its institutions and to exaggerate its occasional failures.
Trump wants you to think that everyone is corrupt so that his corruptions is "ordinary". Trump wants to tear down the free press so that no one can stand against him.
The problem for everyone who isnt the tyrant is that when these institutions are torn down there's nothing left to protect us when we need them.
The Russian hacking of the DNC is the perfect example. If we allow foreign espionage to affect western elections then we are throwing away independent democracy.
If you throw away this institution, when you come to need it (when some other country hacks you) then you will have nothing left to defend yourself. Nothing to defend yourself against Trump, nor Russia nor anyone else. In this world power is the only defence so if you want to be treated fairly you have to become the War Lord.
Farage, Trump, Putin, Le Pen and others are not "right wing". They're not participating in our politics. They are trying to destroy it and make themselves lords of the rubble.
