Thanks. I will take a closer look and probably subscribe, although it looks like the first one is also more information sharing (also very important) an less actionable concrete things to do, and the second is focused on 2018... we need to take steps now! But I appreciate the shares.

For example, Actionable item 1: Contact chair of House Oversight Committee calling for an immediate and thorough investigation of Trump's various potential conflicts of interest.

Feel free to copy and post this letter on your page; to send a copy of part or all of it to Rep. Chaffetz; to call him at his office at (202) 225-7751; and to call the House Committee on Oversight and Government Reform at 202.225.5074."

December 16, 2016

Representative Jason Chaffetz Chair, United States House Committee on Oversight and Government Reform 2236 Rayburn House Office Building Washington, DC 20515

Dear Representative Chaffetz,

I am calling on you once again to immediately schedule a thorough and bi-partisan investigation by the House Committee on Oversight and Government Reform into Donald J. Trump’s financial holdings and potential conflicts of interest. Representative Elijah Cummings called for this investigation on November 14, 2016. To date, you have shown no intention to do so.

The events of the past week make it more imperative than ever that you immediately schedule a thorough and bi-partisan investigation of the President-Elect’s existing and potential conflicts of interest. I ask you to consider the following:

• That the President-Elect announced that he would hold a press conference on December 15th to present his plans for how he will handle his business holdings and prevent potential conflicts of interest during his office. He has subsequently postponed that press conference. • That it is now clear that Vladimir Putin personally oversaw Russian interference in our election. • That during the campaign, Donald Trump expressed his admiration for Putin, that he expressed his interest in repealing sanctions against Russia and that he publically called on Putin to hack Secretary Clinton’s email. • That several senior members of the President-Elect’s cabinet and staff – including his nominee for Secretary of State, Rex Tillerson; his choice for National Security Advisor, General Michael T. Flynn; and his former Campaign Manager, Paul Manafort – have longstanding and close personal, political and business connections with Putin. • That Trump’s nominee for Secretary of Energy, Rick Perry sits on the board of Energy Transfer Partners, the company behind the Dakota Access Pipeline. Donald Trump has a significant personal financial investment in that project. • That the Washington Post reported that six of Trump’s nominees donated over $12 million to Trump’s campaign1 and that Politico reported that Trump’s campaign paid $.8.2 million to Trump’s businesses.2 • That “Turkey may be trying to use President-elect Donald Trump’s business interests as a way to force the extradition of Fethullah Gulen, a Muslim cleric blamed for inciting a military coup on July 15,” according to a report in Newsweek magazine.3

These are all actual events that happened just in the last week in which the President-Elect’s conflicts of interests could easily compromise our national security. Given the unprecedented lack of transparency about his financial holdings, any reasonable person has to assume that there are additional, currently unknown conflicts of interest that are influencing his transition process and the strategic thinking of foreign governments.

For these reasons, it is now a matter of the greatest national security for you to immediately schedule a thorough and bi-partisan investigation into the President-Elect’s financial holdings and his potential conflicts of interest. By failing to do so, you are putting the nation’s safety and security in danger.

Sincerely,
