Once upon a time, I was the quintessential nice guy. I befriended women I desired in the hopes of getting laid. Like a sincere friend, I listened to their problems when they vented, gave them a napkin when they cried, opened the door for them. And yet, they never offered to jump on my beta genitals. I expressed contentment with being friends, secretly hoping I would be rewarded with sex for being such a nice guy. After all, why would any self-respecting man do anything gracious or kind if they’re not getting coitus in return?
