Why do people build frostbound on him?

He has enough slows, and his 3 allows for the boxing potential. It's just an unnecessary item.

            Been playing hit a lot recently and really loving it. I'll be the first to admit that other warriors bring more to the table but he can be very dangerous early on and can pretty much not die late game.

              Sex-tache makes him the best Solo laner there is.

              For real now, i love how Ravana is so fun atm. He has total immunity, a nice tower diving ult, good self healing and a decent clear wave.

              Quick tip against him, don't stay beetween your meelee and archer minions while he's using his 3. It heals for the 3 first minions it reaches, so anything that it hits after that is advantage for him. Most of the times this will not slow him on his clear, because the 3 has range enough to hit the whole wave, and if he manages to hit you, you are probably going to be bitch-slapped and outcleared in the same time with his 1.

                Anyone has some tips and builds for him? I love playing him but every time I try to use him I have an hard time killing anyone (not enough damage for solo kill) and neither am I tanky enough. I can't find a good way to build him.

                The realest MvP, I stuck through with this hulky demon since he came out, he was always fun to play, whether you bitchslap everyone with 30-damage fists of doom or take huge chunks of damage with your abilities, he was always the funnies god to play.

                  You may aswell call him a physical Nox. After his 1+2 enemy is helpless but miss the 1 or 2 and your overall potential is significantly lower. Heals are amazing and have kept me alive when I'm sure to die.

                  I wouldn't recommend doing the same unless you're really comfortable with herc, but I like to build Icheval on him so he has more damage output after the combo, whether I miss or not. His autos actually hit like a truck

                  I have great luck with this build, especially since power pot start is no longer a thing.

                  Steel Mail start, with two wards and Meditation.

                  Build into Mystic Mail, then Warrior Tabi, Bulwark of Hope, Jotunn's Wrath, Mantle of Discord, Titan's Bane, and Thorns for your second active.

                  This build gives you overkill protections, good lane clear, CDR, flat and percentage pen, and fighting you becomes more and more dangerous. If they hit you, your passive makes you stronger. If they hit you too much, Bulwark and Mantle's passives proc at the same time, making you tougher and stunning them, use Thorns to turn their damage back at them at the same time, your damage will be huge, and at the end you walk out with all your health back, because Herc is Herc.

                    Huge burst early and mid game, a mage/hunter's worst nightmare is an Odin bird jumping on them, easily 50-75% of their health, snowball insanely well due to his ult and passive giving just straight up double stacking of free power whenever somethings dies. Slide off late game in terms of damage, burst and kill potential, still a huge nuisance to carry because of his cage and his slow making him sit on top of them.

                    That moment you see an Odin in the air coming right for you and your escape is down... he's going to hit you and you are going to die. You contemplate existance, stare at your healthbar thinking "there must be something I can do, maybe I can juke it..." boom.

                    Yes. It's called defense. Build defense. Problem solved. All his damage potential is gone and he used his escape. Kill him. I see an Odin use his jump and the same thought pops in my head when I see a Thor use his hammer or an Anubis miss a wrap. Kill him. Kill him now.

                    Most predictable and boring god in the game. Shield, jump, slow, cage. That's it. He's pretty good but he doesn't scale very well.

                    Arguably one of the strongest--if not the strongest God in any 80% CDR Match of the Day gamemode.

                    Sure there are other Gods who can take him down, with the proper tactics and item builds, but overall he is truly omnipotent in this case.

                    For instance, his shield can be used a multitude of times, enough to tank towers and sustain heavy damage and an onslaught of enemy ultimates over and over again. The birdbomp leap will destroy everything, even other Odins. The leap's cooldown scales down when you level it up, so take note.

                    There is an old proverb: *"He who leaps last, succeeds first." In other words, if an Odin were to use his leap, you as the other Odin would leap after him and deal damage to him as soon as he lands. This was something I learned in the old 5v5 Odin infinite mana, 80% CDR Cage Match MOTD, and it was also useful in the Bird Bomb IX 3v3 Joust MOTD... which some of you were probably not around for.

                    Take it from me, a Diamond-level Odin who has skillfully mastered him playing these gamemodes time and time again. And be sure to have your teammates ban him first--particularly in Omnipotent Draft. Or you could run into me or other Odin players and regret it... dearly.

                    I think he has the lowest base stats of any warrior. If I remember correctly, Ullr is more of a warrior than Odin or at least his stats say so.

                      Remember, you don't ALWAYS have to bird bomb people. Sometimes it can actually be better to leap in without your shield so you can use it when you really need it.

                        If you can get an easy first blood, his mid lane ganks are some of the best in the game - of course every god is going to do a lot of damage fed, but Chaac is a bulldozer

                        Not true. If you are a Chaac that just throws Axes, then yea. You are not useful.

                        Read his kit. He is part AA part Ability. Like a Warrior Awilix kind of sort of. Passive requires hitting with AAs. His 1 does damage and helps close the distance with a teleport from the 2 or slow them down with the 3 to slap people. His 2 is close melee range when you are slapping people and it helps close distance and give protections so you can slap people longer. His 3 is a heal so we can slap people and not take damage, its a slow so people can't run away when you are slapping them. His Ult is close range, good for taking a break from slapping. Full potential comes from when the ult is in range of a thrown axe which it should be since you are face to face slapping.

                        Thats why I enjoy Athena jungle. I've survived 2v1s that would have annihilated me if I were playing a squishy jungle like Bastet. Tanky off-meta jungling is hella fun.

                          King of the LATAMs.

                          Almost every LATAM solo laner I've seen in ranked has picked Chaac, I'm not sure if it's cause hes a Mesoamerican god or if they think he is op. They also start steel mail on him too a lot.

                            Is it worth to build breastplate of valor first for solo\supp line? Or maybe it's better to build frostbound hammer first, as i see in many guides? My build is Breastplate of Valor> Warrior Tabi > Executioner\Qin's Sais > Frostbound Hammer > Bulwark of Hope > %Situational_Item_Name%

                            Frostbound is only worth it if the enemy has alot of mobile gods(Scylla,Izanami,Neith,Apollo, etc.). The build that I got Amaterasu to diamond with was Warrior Tabi>BoV/Pestilence(depends on your lane opponent)>BoV/Pestilence(whatever you didn't get second)>Winged Blade>Spirit's Robe/Mantle of Discord>Counter Item.

                            You can go a little damage but you'll be able to do more damage the longer you are in a fight, so building protections let's you live longer, fight longer, and do more damage

                                  How the hell do i stay alive long enough to be potent late game. I feel like every god can bully her out early. I dont like clearong with my 3 since thats my escape aswell. Should I get it first with blue stone or is there another way to get early clear ?

                                  Buy bluestone first, clear with your 2. You might need your 3 to clear early, so if you use it to clear, walk in front of the minions and use your 3 to get back to where you were before in addition to hitting the minions

                                        Erlang is definitely a good god but he is soo overrated. I keep seeing him being called OP, and I feel these people are just all wrong. He's balanced right now.

                                        Erlang isn't even good at the competitive level, just look at his spl stats. Even in pubs, you can easily beat him unless they are really good with the god.

                                          My favorite god ever put into Smite <3

                                          His kit doesn't bring anything incredibly unique to the game (other than his passive), but I just find his kit so fun and rewarding to learn.

                                          He's a great solo laner and jungle, even if he isn't as good as people seem to think he is. He is countered by slows and anti healing (so Curse), as well as gods like Bellona who can disrupt his clear and harass potential, and also Osiris who can sometimes out bully him in lane. He has got an insane lockdown combo, as well as huge sticking potential.

                                          Builds I tend to use on him are always something like:

                                          Death's Toll>Warrior Tabi(Warrior for early game, Ninja for late)>situational defense (Witchblade/Breastplate of Valor/Pestilence/Bulwark of Hope)>Qin's Sais>Ichaival>situational defense (Spirit Robe/Mantle of Discord)>moar defense.

                                          This god is extremely annoying to play against, thus is why Erlang Shen has no friends (despite referencing them in his voicelines).

                                          Have fun saving the wildlife guise.

                                          To anyone who loves off meta picks, I heavily recommend Erlang Shen for Mid. You have good "free" and safe clear with you basic attacks and Death's Toll and you can secure kills incredibly well early on- with or without your jungler.

                                            LET'S GO LASSIES. THE MAN, THE LITERAL MYTH AND LEGEND TYR.

                                            You have 2 options to choose from in boots. Warrior Tabi with that 40 power early is huge, it is almost enough to make Tyr's damage sufficient for units the 4th item. Now people may disagree with me on this, but alternatively Reinforced Greaves works well on him too, mostly due to the ability to synergize with his passive, downside being that you will most certainly be pretty bad in dealing damage for the next 10 minutes. Not exactly a recommendation, but rather a suggestion.

                                            Into your first real item, built before or after boots and starter item. Tyr is a God that is heavily reliant on low cool downs, with full cool down reduction he can stay in the team fight forever long as his mana doesn't run out. If you are up against a Physical in solo, a rush for Breastplate of Valor is recommended. Up against a Magical however, consider getting Heartward/Bulwark of hope, or alternatively straight up build Hide of the Urchin, but that requires you to be actively rotating to get the stacks up. Only rush hide if you are confident to be ahead.

                                            Your third item will definitely have to be a cool down reduction item if it is not built already. If its a no, build Breastplate of Valor, if it's a yes, Jotunns Wrath.

                                            Now onwards to your fourth item. If you haven't got the duo CDR items, get whatever you haven't got in the duo. Otherwise, this is a good time to round up your holes in defence, Magical defence. Bulwark of Hope in this stage is much more valued than a Heartward Amulet due to the falling influence of laning phase sustain.

                                            Your 5th item is a flex spot, counter whatever the enemy team is heavy on or you could build Void Shield. Your last item should be Titan's Bane unless you feel squishy, in that case, sell Breastplate for Mantle of Discord and get another defence item.

                                              When you see him picked up by a good Tyr player he destroys, but his combo is not always easy to hit, and he can get bullied early by some of the more popular solo laners in the meta. Great pick, I would say an excellently balanced solo laner with great risk/reward and high skill cap, but there are just easier options right now.

                                                She has a slower but harder hitting attack chain. It goes 1.5/1/1.5x attack speed and damage. If you can auto cancel efficiently with her after landing a bludgeon you are essentially squeezing an additional 50% damage out of that first auto attack which significantly increases her ability to 100-0 squishy carries in the midgame when she dumps her kit.

                                                      But she either needs some of her sustain restored or CC immunity during the firing of her 1 or 3 (having it on the 2 -bludgeon- would probably make her OP). Hirez took high sustain out of her description for a reason. She just doesn't have good sustain anymore. In fact, her 3 is really only useful for the disarm.

                                                      Her lack of sustain makes it very hard for her to stay in lane after level 5 against a god (played competently) who has decent healing, especially an ability based god. Doubly so if that god also has an interrupt. Your only option is to tower camp.

                                                          Guan Yu is one of the few warriors that can be played in support, but boy does he do it well. This guy has some of the highest base damage numbers out of any warrior which means you can build pure defense and still contribute to the teamfight. On top of that, he has a protection shred, a heal and an ultimate that slows and stuns for up to 2s. He is rather lackluster in solo lane because his clear is so conditional and get get interrupted, but in duo he is free to harass the enemy while his ADC clears, which is where he truly shines. While his mana costs are a bit high in the early game, once he gets into the lategame, he'll have enough mana to keep his team in the fight indefinitely which makes a Fire Giant war of attrition all the more likely to swing in your favor. He is one of the few warriors who can compare to a lategame Amaterasu in terms of what he brings to the teamfight. Will definitely see this guy in the SWC.

Most abilities are a lot less accurate on console while his abilities aren't any harder to land, and he gets a lot more time to spam heal during teamfights. I can consistently go 0-5 in the solo lane, only to carry my team to victory late game, it's spooky.

                                                            In general, I see so many people from this subreddit build multiple power items on solo laners. Like, I understand someone like Erlang Shen can build hybrid and succeed in other roles, but having Ich, Qins, and Exe on him just limits what you can do in a team fight. If you try to harass their backline with 2/3 defense items, you're gonna die fast unless you're 5 levels above everyone else.

                                                            Not saying buying something like Qins isn't bad on an aa solo laner, but when you don't have the defense to stay and make it worth it, there's not really any point in building that much offense.

                                                            The thing is, this is SPL/Pro mentality. We aren't on organized teams who have comms and have known each other for a while. Have you seen matchmaking? It's trash. The 3 defense item with maybe another hybrid (Frostbound/Wingedblade/Witchblade) thrown in, is the standard in normal play. Why? Sometimes you have to carry. Its just a fact. It is true not everyone who builds that way should think for a moment that they can carry because they are horrible, but in general, thats why.

                                                            What happens when the MM God has you as top pick on a team with people who are way below your skill level? Then you build full no damage tank? I will tell you. You try to dive the backline, set things up, distract with your null damage disruption and.... nothing. Your mage isn't throwing their damage, Your hunter is distracted by something shiny. 4 of your team mates are chasing a low health underleveled support on a little adventure. Your support is initiating on the tank. Etc Etc Etc. The amount of times I have to type "Stop playing with the tank" in my games is ridiculous.

                                                            In pro play, you can be the wall they need. In non-pro play, you have to be a bit of a hammer.

                                                              Me and my friend have been running a thing called Tyrcules Duo.

                                                              Yeah, basically Tyr and Hercules duo laning. So far we've tested it only on casuals (still thinking if its worth to fuck up our Elo just for the lulz ) but we got a mark of 4 wins and 1 loss. We usually farm behind our tower and destroy the enemy adc with : Earthbreaker > Fearless > Power Cleave > Driving strike > If still alive, excavate.

                                                              Variations may include : Blink > Fearless > Earthbreaker > Driving strike > if still alive, excavate.

                                                              In general : Warriors are fun to play but some don't pose as a real threat unless they are in real advantage

                                                                  IMO he's even better just full tank with ninja Tabi (ya that's right ninja Tabi, it's better on him in the lategame than warrior if you are going more aa-based), frostbound, and quins. Completely unkillable in his Ult at level 20 with that build, just initiate and go 1v5 into the enemy team and go ham on their squishies. I very often have both the most damage mitigated and most damage dealt by a very wide margin building like this.
