Good morning /r/legaladvice,

As you may have heard, the United States has an election which will occur on Tuesday, November 8th, 2016. For those that are just now hearing up this, I applaud your courage for coming out from under your rock.

Tomorrow, Saturday, November 5th, starting at 3 PM Eastern time (2 PM Central), /r/legaladvice will be having an AMA/Megathread with the topic being the election and the laws surrounding it. This post is the serve as an announcement and to allow you to ask questions, which I will transpose to the actual thread tomorrow afternoon.

We have a variety of both attorneys, and campaign professionals that will be answering questions. These include supports of both Sec. Clinton and Mr. Trump. Below is a selected highlight of those that will be answering questions, potentially.

/u/UsuallySunny is a licensed attorney in the state of California and has worked with a non-partisan group to ensure fair and free elections for numerous years.

/u/ExpiresAfterUse is one of those weirdos we call "quants" who lives in Illinois. He specializes in the voting rules of various jurisdictions, and can strangely tell you how many EV each state has and who controls which House delegation off the top of his head. No one talks to quants.

/u/ramady is a campaign professional based on the east coast. He has run numerous campaigns, everything from United States Senate, to local issues.

/u/Zanctmao is a licensed attorney in the Pacific Northwest. He has volunteered for campaigns in the past.

This above list is not comprehensive, just those that have confirmed they can at least, potentially, help out.

I warn everyone now, this Megathread/AMA will be moderated with an iron fist. Spam, attacks, general shitposting, from either side, will be immediately deleted. We will be banning without any further warning than this advisory, should the situation warrant it.

Again, this thread is to serve as notification. Tomorrow, a little before 3 PM Eastern, I will put up the live thread. That thread will stay up through November 11th.
