If Man. City lose tonight that would be 4 games without winning a game, yet I haven't seen any pundits criticize them. When United had a poor run of fixtures the media labelled it as a complete failure. (self.reddevils)

It pisses me off how much more negative media attention United get. If we failed to beat Celtic, Spurs, and Everton at home we wouldn't hear the end of it.

I bloody hope Pep loses vs. Barca tonight just to make that 4 games without a win. It would be satisfying.

Hopefully Southampton can snatch a result on the weekend, and then City are back to playing us, so if everything goes right, and we get a win in the EFL cup it could mean City have gone 6 games without a win. All hypothetical, of course.

Lets not get into a big circle jerk here, lets be honest with ourselves, the level of our performances haven't been up to the required standard, City in comparison haven't really played that bad. Hell, if that game against Everton had have been played again it could just have easily been 4-1/5-1 to City. The media will bash any of the "big" teams when they get a chance, they did it for Arsenal (after the Liverpool defeat), they've did it for the entirety of last season to Chelsea and they'll inevitably do it to the scousers when their bubble pops and everyone realises that they're a mid table club.

Manchester United are despised by most. Jose Mourinho is despised by many. Manchester United and Jose together is a recipe for alot of hate.

Comparing Man Utd to Man City is not right because performance wise they are far better. Points wise not so much. Three consecutive losses versus one loss and two draws doesn't warrant the same media ridicule.

They are first in the PL though. If our position was better (tbh, 7th is misleading, only 5 pts off), Mou would've had more ammunition to justify himself.

The witch hunt loves it when we lose and will continue to attack us as long as it can. The media are after all also fans of other clubs and they love it when we lose.

I think it's great if they would lose tonight, and it is awesome that we could have a chance to top it off by extending it to six!

But, we don't need to victimize ourselves. In the American election campaign right now, Trump's supporters are all getting behind the notion that "the media is rigged", and it kind of sickens me how they can really only see a single narrative, their own.
