Funner fact: the pullout of Gaza was done by the Israelis with the express intent of making sure there would NEVER be peace - as you can read here from the senior adviser of the person who put it into play:

All with a presidential blessing and the ratification of both houses of Congress. That is exactly what happened. You know, the term `peace process' is a bundle of concepts and commitments.
