Okay. This is going to controversial, and I am likely going to get banned, but here we go: Lovely_Leah is a mod here, and lately she have done a rather terrible job at it. She is not a person, we we want to mod AHS. This post will explain why.

Relationship with ProjectMayhem666, mod of /r/european

She is known to be dating, possibly even girlfriend of /u/LordOfTheEdge, who was formerly /u/ProjectMayhem666, a mod of /r/european (for this connection, see a, b, c, d).

ProjectMayhem666 is known to be a neo-nazi (see this picture, he posted 7 feb, 2016 of him, heiling in a salute to Adolf Hitler). The thread can be found here. In his own words,

Let's see who makes the bigger difference, you, the American keyboard warrior, or me the neo Nazi who is going Antifa hunting.

He haven't changed since then (a, b, c, d)

Lately, Leah and ProjectMayhem666 have been dating (a, b, c, d, e).

This raises the question: Do we really want one who have nazi-sympathies (to some extend) to mod here, a community against hate speech?

She have stated herself, that

He's not a white supremacist. I don't agree with many of his views, but he's not a racist or antisemite or anything like that.

This, along with other of her comments, is basically a statement of nazi apologia. ProjectMayhem666 has not only threatened to kill "libtards" and "faggots" in the past, but he has also harassed people directly through PMs

And how is this relevant?

It is highly critical, due to two points:

  1. Reputation. AHS cannot preserve a good reputation, while having a moderator, who have strong nazi-sympathies.

  2. Conflict of interest. She have showed a conflict of interest here, where she deleted a comment of mine, for no apparent reason (that is, a reply to the "Please refrain from making accusations against users unless there is proof of such claims." was deleted). This conflict of interest is fundamentally incompatible with fair moderating.

Israel/Palestine bias

She is well known to be an Israeli nationalist. Moreover, she have made multiple statement denying Israel's invasion and abuse of Palestinian people.

A particular example is this PM correspondence, where she states

[sic] Why are you promoting the false narrative that Palestinians are oppressed minorities and Israelis are white oppressors?

This statement is not only factually wrong, but also very unnuanced and offensive. It is a statement of denial, in line with Holocaust denialism. You deny oppression of some form, which is known to exist.

What to do?

Unmod her. This conflict of interest makes her unsuitable for modding AHS.

Serious response: I will still defend Leah for that comment about the false narrative, it was poorly worded and said to an obvious troll in a situation where she didn't expect each word to be pored over so I can see why she'd simplify a complex situation.

On the other hand...

I never really encountered ProjectMayhem666 much (That name, dear lord) but apparently he's reformed, I see no evidence of that. They both just seem to be denying that he was ever a fascist rather than accepting, apologizing, or trying to make amends for it.

Judging from his comment history, no lessons have been learnt. He's throwing out childish insults and gems like this:

Faggot isn't hate speech. Plus I get a pass, my best friend and his husband can vouch for my permission to call idiots on the Internet "faggots"

You meddled with the wrong programmer, goy.

If he's not still a nazi, he's definitely still one odious dude.

As I understand it, it is real. They reportedly appeared on a picture together a few days ago, which was later deleted.

In any case, I don't think they are qualified after their statements.
