We regret that we have had to introduce a revised timetable on the Thameslink route until further notice. See below for full details.

There is a normal service on the Great Northern route.

Revised service on the Thameslink route

We are extremely sorry that a shortage of train drivers has forced us to cancel a large number of services on the Thameslink route between Bedford, Luton, central London, Sutton,Wimbledon and Brighton. Find out more and read Questions & Answers.

To allow us to operate as consistent a timetable as possible over the coming days, we have introduced an amended timetable. This timetable will operate on Mondays to Fridays until further notice. We will endeavour to operate a normal service on Saturdays and Sundays

What we're doing to try and ease the situation

We are in ongoing pay talks with the drivers’ union, ASLEF. Read more about this.

Thameslink route ticketswill be valid:

for the equivalent journey on First Capital Connect’s Great Northern route (Please note that tickets will not be valid on National Express East Coast trains between Peterborough/Stevenage and London King’s Cross).
on Tramlink services between East Croydon, Mitcham Junction and Wimbledon
on Southern services between Brighton, Sutton, Wimbledon and intermediate stations to London Victoria when no First Capital Connect service is available
on London Underground and London buses on all reasonable routes.
on South West Train services between Wimbledon and London Waterloo

In addition car park permits valid at stations on the Thameslink route may be used in car parks operated by First Capital Connect on the Great Northern route providing they are clearly displayed on the windscreen. Please note that they cannot be used in the East Coast car park at Peterborough, nor the municipal car park at Stevenage.

Track improvements and maintenance are taking place from 04:30 on 14/11/09 to 23:59 on 14/11/09 between St Pancras International and London Bridge.Whilst work is taking place, buses will replace trainsbetween St Pancras International and London Bridgebetween London Blackfriars and Tulse Hill via Herne Hill
Please use Tube and local bus services to cross London. Replacement buses will operate outside the Tubes hours of operation.

OXFORD CIRCUS: Until April 2010, due to escalator work Central line passengers travelling to Oxford Street are strongly advised to avoid exiting at Oxford Circus station. Use Bond Street or Tottenham Court Road stations instead. Access to the Central line and interchange with the Bakerloo and Victoria lines is not affected.
