Girls getting off on live sex toys

Trophy girlfriends are part and parcel of life. It's always been fairly acceptable for older guys to fork out cash to be seen walking around with a younger women. Wealthy matrons have also been known to shell out for a toy boy. But in today's Japan, according to Shukan Josei (10/15), large numbers of women in their 20s or 30s are paying younger men for their company and a variety of other services. "What's best about it is that you just pay some money and don't have to worry about all the little things involved in a relationship. Unlike having a boyfriend, if you don't want to be around the guy you're paying for, you can just dump him," says Maki, a 27-year-old employee from a big foreign bank who's been paying 19-year-old Tsuyoshi to be her companion for the past year.

Thanks to the ongoing downturn, Maki's salary suffered a big cut. She responded by selling herself on the side, which allowed her to meet up with Tsuyoshi, who pretended to be a 28-year-old company employee while engaging in her services.

"He put his age up by nine years. It sounds hard to believe, but the first time we met he'd never been with a woman and was saving up to break his cherry. Isn't that cute? I took the lead, showing him how to do things and he was fantastic," Maki tells Shukan Josei. "He was so good I felt bad about taking money from him. Instead, I gave him a 10,000 yen note and told him to look after his money. Because he's so much younger than me, it was sort of like I was buying a bit of his youth."

After that initial encounter, Maki has not slept with Tsuyoshi again, but calls him up whenever she wants to go out for dinner or a date, footing the bill each time.

"I haven't got much money myself, but I give him 10,000 yen or 20,000 yen every time we meet. If he takes time off from his part-time job to meet me, I pay him the normal fee plus a bonus of three times the hourly rate from his part-time job."

Yumi met her man after a class reunion which left her depressed because she was still unmarried and childless at 31. Forlorn, she bumped into 22-year-old Tadashi near a Ferris wheel in Tokyo's posh waterside district of Odaiba, a favorite for dating couples. Looking at the huge wheel that stands over the bay, Yumi asked Tadashi if he'd like to go for a ride. He agreed and she's been taking him for a ride ever since.

"When I'm with him I get an enormous feeling of relief. It's as though I don't have to pretend to be anybody else. We walked out of a restaurant and he whispered to me that he wanted to have sex. Nobody has ever done that before. Tadashi doesn't have a great technique, but he's got power. I don't know how many times I had an orgasm," Yumi tells Shukan Josei, adding that she took out her purse immediately after their romp and handed Tadashi a 10,000 yen note. "To be honest, I couldn't be bothered slowly building up trust like you need to with a relationship. I like being able to pay up and get a man to meet me when I want him to meet me."

Kazuko, at 35, leads a frugal life, scrimping on food costs so she can meet her 20-year-old companion, Yuji.

"We meet about four times a month and I pay him 10,000 yen each time. I really look after my money normally, but I don't think the money I spend on him is wasted in the slightest," she tells Shukan Josei. "He heals my heart and body. Meeting him is like a session at a beauty parlor."

Some of the guys being paid for by women take a professional attitude toward their situation.

"When a woman first gave me some money, I thought to myself, 'what the hell was that for?' Now, I'm used to it. I figure if I'm getting paid, I've got to give the girls a good time," a 19-year-old boy tells Shukan Josei.

Others aren't so keen.

"It sounds good, but basically you're like the woman's pet," a 20-year-old male companion says. "You're not equal and you've got to take it when she bosses you around. It's stressful. If they're not happy with what they get for their money, they soon dump you. It takes a lot out of you."

Some of the women using young men as toys end up disliking the idea, too. Maki, the foreign bank employee, can attest to a bad experience when she picked up a guy from an online site where young men can offer their services to older women.

"He was boring and the sex was awful, and I was thinking to myself that I'd picked a rotten one this time," she moans to Shukan Josei. "He put his hand out for money and said, '20,000 yen.' I told him I didn't have any money and he was furious. He tried to take my bag and we began fighting."

Maki's boy ended the fight with a hefty wallop to her face with his ring-encrusted fist, knocking her unconscious and getting enough time to empty her purse.

"It was really frustrating," Maki tells Shukan Josei, "but there's not much I could really do about it."
