Anyone know where I can find a picture of her?
At 15, Japan's Miss Photogenic shakes a leg by Ryann Connell February 7, 2005 Though youth is a vital factor for beauty pageants in those places across the globe that are still permitted to hold them, one ofthe prizewinners in this year's Miss Japan contest hasn't even reached high school age yet, according to Flash (2/1 5). At just 15 and still only a junior high school pupil, Aya Koge managed to take out the Miss Photogenic prize in this year's version of the country's oldest and most prestigious beauty contest. Aya's unexpected triumph came despite, or perhaps because, being the youngest competitor in this year's beauty show and the youngest ever to reach to the podium. "You could see the ambition witten in her face," Masatoshi Sakai, one of the Miss Japan judges, tells Flash. Clinching her prize, the men's weekly says, was Aya's wide array of poses during the all-important swimsuit section. She proudly Flashed off her finely toned 170-centimeter-tall body with its 82-centimeter bust, 54-centimeter waist and 85-centimeter hips, dazzling the judges with her comical handling of the microphone and facial expressions the weekly says belied her tender age. "I had no idea I was the youngest ever wirmer," Aya tells Flash. "I was so excited when I heard that I'd won. I'm so delighted that nobody else as young as me has ever won before." Aya has little doubt about what makes her most attractive. "I've got a great set oflegs I'm often praised on, as well as some really puay lips," she says. Aya says she ultimately aims to become an actress or model. "I want to have a really attractive presence," she says. "It'd be really good to become a bright and personable woman." Womanhood is still a little way offyet for mid-teen Aya, but she seems to be well aware ofthat and has pledged not to get too carried away with her success. "Anyway," she tells Flash, "I've got to get back to my studies from tomorrow." -------------------- "To understand the present and anticipate the future, one must know enough of the past, enough to have a sense of the history of a people." -- Lee Kuan Yew
