Cheryl Chow

Cheryl Chow holds a B.A. in Psychology from Reed College, and did graduate work
in journalism at Northwestern University.
Cheryl was born in Tokyo, and spent her childhood in Japan, Hong Kong and
Taiwan. Having spent much of the 80s in the U.S. and much of the 90s in Japan,
she is tri-lingual and tri-cultural. She brings this rich multi-cultural
experience to her seminar presentations.
Cheryl has spent much of her professional career in the world of journalism,
working for organizations such as The Nippon Foundation, Time-Life Japan,
Ikebana International Magazine, NHK Radio Japan, Charles E. Tuttle Publishing,
TBS Bilingual Television News, and Asian Sources Magazines, in positions such
as Editor, Reporter, and News Translator. She has also been involved in
projects such as writing a corporate history of DuPont-Toray and ghost writing
a book about Feng Shui. She has also served as a translation checker and
consultant for major publications including Newsweek Japan, National Geographic
and the Washington Post. As a result, she has had exposure across a broad range
of technical, business, and creative fields.
Cheryl's work experience also includes working at a Japanese bank in the U.S.,
and as a Japanese language instructor.
Recently Cheryl resided in Taipei, where she pursued a Master’s Degree in Broadcast Journalism from National Cheng Chi University.
