イスラム国が異教徒の少女を性奴隷に 毎日のように「暴力や性的虐待」
イスラム過激派組織「イスラム国(IS)」には、イギリスなどから数十人規模で女性たちが参加していることが報じられている(日本語版記事)。
イギリス紙「テレグラフ」9月7日付けの記事は、イスラム国が本拠地にしているシリアの都市ラッカには、若いイギリス出身女性たちが指揮する、女性だけの「宗教警察」があることを伝えた。街を監視して「非イスラム的な服装」や「西欧文化的な影響」などを規制する組織だが、ブルカをまとって視認が難しい女性について、敵かどうかを確認する役割等もあるという。
同記事によれば、この「宗教警察」の中心人物は、アクサ・マフモードというグラスゴー出身の女性だと考えられている。彼女は、グラスゴーの名門校と大学で学んだ女性であり、「Umm Layth」という名前でテロ行為を煽るTwitter投稿を頻繁に行っていたと報道されている(日本語版記事)。
英国出身の女性、ザハラ・ハレーン。16歳の双子姉妹のひとりで、マンチェスターに住む高校生たちだったが、戦士となった兄を追って、姉と一緒にシリアに移住した(日本語版記事)。画像はTwitterのプロフィール写真より。なお、キングス・カレッジ・ロンドンの「International Centre for the Study of Radicalisation and Political Violence」(過激化・政治暴力研究国際センター:ICSR)は、聖戦のためにシリアに向かったイギリス出身の女性は約60名と見ており、年齢は18歳から24歳だとしている。
■ 性奴隷にされる異教徒の女性たち
一方、イスラム国では、「異教徒」の女性たちが性的な暴力を受けていることが報道されている(日本語版記事)。イギリスに拠点を置くNGO「シリア人権監視団」(SOHR)によると、イスラム国は8月、イラクのヤジディ教徒の女性約300人を「戦利品」として誘拐し、シリアへ移送。うち27人については、一人あたり1000ドル(約10万円)で売られ、イスラム教へ改宗させられたうえに結婚を強いられたことを確認しているという。
また、中東のメディアについて研究する機関「MEMRI」(Middle East Media Research Institute)は、9月3日付けの記事において、ソーシャルネットで行われた会話の分析を通じて、こうした女性たちがどのように扱われているかを紹介している。これによれば、こうした女性たちは180ドルから350ドルで販売され、暴力や性的虐待を受けているようだ。
ラッカに住むイギリス出身の女性、ウム・アンワル(ツイッター名「Umm Farris」)は、8月28日のTwitter投稿で、訪ねた家にイラク出身の「ヤジド派(ヤジディ教徒)の少女奴隷」がいるのを見たとツイートしている(日本語版記事、以下の画像)。
この投稿に対して、Twitter上では、「こうした奴隷はどこで買えるのか」「私にも送ってほしい」といったやりとりが行われていた(すでに投稿は削除されているが、リンク先にキャプチャ画像がある)。
2人の国連高官は2014年8月、イスラム国やその旧称である「ISIS」による性的暴力を「野蛮な行為」として非難する共同声明を出した。『ニューズウィーク』誌の記事で紹介された同声明では、イラクにおける少数派であるヤジディ教徒やキリスト教徒、トルクメン人、シャバク人の女性や十代の少年少女たちに対して「残酷なレイプ」が行われていると述べられている。

イタリアの「ラ・レプッブリカ」紙は、9月7日付けの記事において、イスラム国に捕えられ、性的な奴隷として扱われているという少女について報道した。
現在も過激派戦士たちに捕らえられているという17歳のヤジディ教徒の少女は、彼女と一緒に40人の女性が捕らえられ、中には12歳の少女もいたと述べた。そして、彼女たちを虐待している戦士たちについて、「小さな子どもがいる女性を見逃すことすらしない、人間らしい心の欠けた人たち」だと語っている。
この少女によると、彼女と一緒に捕らえられた女性たちは全員がヤジディ教徒であり、窓に鉄格子が付いた建物の中で、武装した男たちに監視され、毎日のように暴力や性的虐待を受けているという。「彼らは私たちに、おまえたちはイスラム教徒ではない不信心者であり、彼らの戦利品であると言い続けています。私たちは市場で買えるヤギのようなものだというのです」
